This video simply solved my lens choosing puzzle. Much much appreciated and many thanks 😊
Ответитьanyone in 2024?
ОтветитьReally great explanation & illustration!
Ответить11 years ego 😱
ОтветитьI just went out and tried this with my lenses. Let me tell you, for someone to just say that your focal length is just the measurements on your lenses and then showing you how to practice. The results blew my mind and I was just making the simplest adjustments on earth. I’m getting into professional photography and this answered my question exquisitely on this topic!
Ответить😂 its about understanding your gear and shooting with intention..deciding the look, the field of view you want and choosing the focal length to achieve the desired result. A good exercise for the beginner to understand why to choose a specific focal length.
ОтветитьAwesome video, really well produced in terms of video and audio.
ОтветитьThanks for this video! I'm alternating between a 50mm prime lens for my full-frame Nikon and an 55-200mm DX lens on a DX camera, and I use both depending on my subjects...
ОтветитьIts great to watch 11 years old video with that better quality❤
ОтветитьPerfect Explanation
ОтветитьThank you Sir for this video
Ответить2024. And dang this is such a quality video that worth all the time in the world! Bless you!
ОтветитьI understand how the focal length changed, but how is that connected to the argument of walking closer instead of zooming?
ОтветитьYou’ve essentially misinformed over a million confused photographers by conflating focal length with perspective. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt in thinking you are just bad at explaining things but good at sounding correct.
ОтветитьIf you took a shot at 300mm and 50mm at exactly the same point in space… you will find that you can crop into the 50mm photograph to find an identical composition with identical magnification and field of view as the 300mm. You literally can’t frame the same shot from any other point in space than the one you already are at because of parallax and the nature of perspective.
ОтветитьNothing happens to the environment when you zoom a lens. When you are moving back, you are changing your perspective. Focal length does absolutely nothing but crop and magnify from the center of your field of view. The way you are explaining this doesn’t make any sense.
ОтветитьAmazing video in 2024z
ОтветитьI wanna know what Natasha is doing now I’m 2024 tho.
ОтветитьOmg this made it so simple for a brainless monkey like me to understand! Thank you!! Invaluable even 11 years later!
ОтветитьOH MY WORD. I have been trying to understand this for ages and you have made it so clear for me to understand, thank you so much. I'm off out to experiment with my camera.
