I have old shoes of Johnston and Murphy can any one help to restore. iam from India
ОтветитьIt may be way cheaper to buy new shoes than all those products and aplicators to rejuvenate something that is worn off.
ОтветитьThis is gold. Specially nowadays when people are used to throw stuff away and buy more. We need to start reusing and learning how to repair our stuff.
ОтветитьIt looks like when an old lady puts make up on. It looks better but you can still see the wear and tear.
ОтветитьThank you! I was able to order the right materials and got all my leather shoes ready and looking brand new for the holidays! Happy I don’t have to buy new ones.
Ответитьreal men don't need their egos stroked by shiny boots.
Ответитьamazing vid
ОтветитьI just got a pair of leather boots and was following the steps in the video, and I guess my iron runs hot because after the de-creasing process the color has changed in those areas. Any ideas on how I can get them back to a uniform brown?
ОтветитьThis might work on a wrinkled face as well.
ОтветитьWhat do you do when waxing when the color of the sewing is different than the color of the boots?
ОтветитьWhat? Wait! Back to life in 4 minutes and then you go tell me let your shoes to dry for 15 minutes? What happened with the math here😮. 😂😂😂
Ответитьsearched and it appears that the ALLEN EDMONDS conditioner cleaner has been discontinued. what's the next best thing?
ОтветитьIt costs more, for the Saphir Creme Polish...than what the boots are worth.
Ответитьthey are not the ones on the thumbnail...all cracked...not true
ОтветитьSaddle soap will ultimately deteriorate the leather bc of its really high PH. Mix 1/5 Dawn + 4/5 water + dot of orange oil in a shaken spray bottle. Then take a clean wet cloth rinsed btw wipings to completely wipe of the grime 2 or 3 times. Then use whatever cream polish u like and buff. I like Pure Polish, but I know Saphir is the old school reigning king.
ОтветитьThe one step I don’t like is polish. Sorry but polish is dress/office shoes. Polish is such a pain to get off and ruins the look of the leather. I got a pair of awesome 899s from the 80s, and it was a total pain to remove all the polish some fool globbed on. Saddle soap did nothing, had to resort to alcohol. But after all that and some conditioner, the oro-russet came back beautifully.
Ответитьi have a pretty nasty scratch on my cowboy boot wandering if there is a way to fix it?
ОтветитьWow amazing video straight to the point no bs
ОтветитьHi. Just wanted to say. Thank you😮. So much for sharing . Your video. At last a video that really. Helps o and works great stuff thank you.
ОтветитьThe ironing of the boots is magic. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьHow amazing....like new boots again!! You probably saved some people big bucks! Great tutorial step by step & to the point...real results!🎯🥾
ОтветитьWhy show a random other shoe being shinned in amongst the shots?
ОтветитьLove this video!
Which product used/referenced in the video is comparable/equivalent to mink oil? Would it be the conditioner?
Thanks!
Great job!
ОтветитьThanks! But any shoe can get smelly, but alas, PodoPhylus antimicrobial insole is a simple, long lasting solution...it sterilizes the shoe and last for months at etsy, not at Betsy
ОтветитьI have a pair of leather timberlands I’ve had for 5 years and they need new soles. I took them to a shoe repair place but they said they can’t replace the sole because of the brand. I don’t want to let go of them
Ответить😍😍😍😍😍😍
ОтветитьThe ironing destroyed my boot :(
ОтветитьReal men Real style
I'm a woman that by some miracle found leather boots at the thrift store in my size. The economy is trying to eat my money because these items are somehow pricey in my country. I have wax, I just need the soap and conditioner but that's trying to cost me almost 80$. I'll try my best because I love these boots and I give a damn about them
Just had to say that this was a fantastic overall guide, simple as well. Thank you very much.
ОтветитьNot a shoe shiner but a leather community bootblack
ОтветитьI did this at least once a year, but not to this details..but enough to give me comfort while doing it
ОтветитьThanks for this, very clear and insightful and you did an awesome job on those.
ОтветитьI HAVE A 21 YEAR OLD BROWN LEATHER SHOES AND PLANNING TO RESTORE IT WITH KIWI SHOE SHINE WAX! THANKS!😊
ОтветитьThank you!! bought some used Doc Martens & this cleaned them up perfectly <33
ОтветитьThank you for the video. Towards the end you refer to a wax Polish pls tell me the brand and product variant you used?
ОтветитьThe iron destroyed my shoes too. I think it works very well if your shoes are black or dark brown like his. Mine were lighter ones and they got a dark brown stains on them 😞
ОтветитьIn business, a tell tale sign is their shoes. Are the leather or faux? Are they clean, shined, and taken care of?
ОтветитьIve always used laundry detergent to clean then use hair conditioner with coco oil in it for conditioner and beeswax with boiled lindseed oil as the waterproofer. When ive covered the boots in the waterproofing stuff i take a torch and hit them with a flame to melt all the wax and burn off any string stragglers while brushing with a softer brush.. has worked for me. Aside from the coloring part. Never used any pigment on any boots. Eventually they just have a darker color to them from the wax but never really even cuz i dont spend a lotta time on em..
Ответитьwhat about leather scuffing on the front toe /sides?
ОтветитьHey dude that was awsome tips but can you tell me what is the brand of watch youre using i like the style of it and im looking for something like this a long time
ОтветитьI do it just with any hair conditioner (in white color). Just brush, clean n apply the hair conditioner. For strong marks in the leather u can get it off even with a school eraser. But you needa know that doin it ur shoe leather color may change. In my case from yellow mustard to caramel, that is, get darker.
ОтветитьNonsense
ОтветитьI think I’ll buy a new pair of boots
ОтветитьGreat upload.Your knowledge and experience is very much appreciated. Keep informing the people..
ОтветитьWhoa!!!
ОтветитьDoes any really have leather shoes these days.?
ОтветитьThe anount u spend restoring them boots , you can buy a new pair
