if the last judgment never happened then Kyle Rees never traveled in time logically John Connor should not exist but in this alternative ending John exists as for Kyle Rees, he is alive and well, he is a young man younger than his son. Did John and Sarah try to meet Kyle?
ОтветитьComparing Terminator 1 and 2 with the next franchise versions is like choosing between a homemade mama's meal and fast food. Modern movies might look impressive but they luck this handmade hard work that old films used to have and made them much more realistic. I miss this old school filmmaking practices. They made you feel part of the movie. For me Terminator 1 and 2 were the end.Period.
ОтветитьAll Terminator movies after this; ALL SUCK!!!!!!!
ОтветитьNow we have OPENAI, the system that is advancing at such accelerated rate. The ignorance of what our own creation can accomplish is dangerous. We dont know how it will evolve.
ОтветитьIt's sweet how much John looks like the terminator in this scene
ОтветитьWhat if someone thought of an ending that is a beginning where John is dead and everything done here in T2 was in vain.🤔
ОтветитьThis is so lame jesus H christ
ОтветитьThey made the right choice. Theatrical ending is better.
ОтветитьMichael Jackson wouldn't have been 40 in 1997.. Did they think anyone would notice this error?
ОтветитьI think the final shot of the road works better, but I have to say, I like the shot of adult John smiling and playing with his kid, contrasting with the scarred veteran we saw in the intro.
ОтветитьMe gusta mas este final que todas las secuelas.
ОтветитьNot to be a bummer, but as happy as this ending is, it makes no sense.
The previous movie established that time in this universe works as a causal loop. That's when time travelers can't change the past, they can only play a part in shaping history as we already know it. This is seen in the boy's photograph of Sarah Connor, which is the exact same we saw Kyle holding, which means they're in a loop. Sarah gets this photograph, it ends up on Kyle, it gets burned, and then it happens all over again.
So it would simply make no sense that Sarah could change history, because she's part of a loop. The whole point was John becoming a leader and in this ending we see that that never happened.
Lot of deluded people in the comments thinking they wouldn't have attempted crappy sequels if this was the theatrical ending. Bunch of poser terminator fans lol. The one chosen for theaters is better because it makes the viewer think about the message of technology being a double edged / Sword of Damocles. This ending takes all of that away from you and just goes "they won, the end, heres a narrated epilogue"
ОтветитьAll other Terminator movies that came out after this are non canon.
Ответить“ Because if a machine can learn the value of human life, maybe we can to”. A quote to all those leaders in every single country should swallow.
Ответитьand then the woke culture happened, THX SARAH > . <
ОтветитьIf only James Cameron kept this scene in the original movie, it would’ve saved the suffering of many Terminator fans with no possibility of sequels.
ОтветитьDC better get crackin on urban renewal if it's gonna look like that in 4 years
ОтветитьGreat movie but bad age makeup.
ОтветитьGotta love John Connor as an adult. He looks tough as hell.
ОтветитьGlad this wasn’t in the final film. It’s dated, unlike the rest of the film.
ОтветитьThe other movies don't count. The story ended like this for me.
Ответить32 years later and I'm just now seeing this. Talk about a look into the future. Geez. I remember walking to a restaurant and seeing T2 merchandise. I think it was Taco Bell but I'm not sure. I thought it was around the same time they came out with the Baja blast although that could've been later🤔 What a strange world we live in now.
Ответитьcrap temporal paradox ending, nuclear judgement day is their destiny from the moment reese and the first terminator are sent back
ОтветитьI always cry to that outro song, ... a truly masterpiece
ОтветитьI swear I saw another ending where the T-1000 was on the playground and Sarah started freaking out and turns out he's just a normal guy with a kid.
ОтветитьIf the judgement day never hapened... John will not send kyle reese back and the john would not exist at all... He will wipe out himself from existence...
ОтветитьThis is the real ending to me, every movie/TV series after this is just Expanded universe or Fanfiction to me.
ОтветитьActually 8/29/97 was Michael Jackson's 39th birthday.
Ответить"Michael Jackson turned 40", indeed! August 29, 1997 was safe and sound!
ОтветитьYeah I ended up buying this director's cut of the movie a while back, it's actually really good and adds to the movie and makes it even better, I highly recommend everyone watch the director's cut version
ОтветитьWas half expecting to see a Terminator in that playground, haha.
ОтветитьIt's funny how paradoxal this scene is, I mean, Kyle Reese was sent to the past by John Connor from a future of war, then Kyle became his father, after that they saved the future, so in this peaceful reality without war, there's no reason to John to make Kyle go back in time to be his father, so it is quite a paradox, unless he came from an alternate timeline like Trunks, and if this is the case, this alternate timeline wasn't saved and it's still in war
ОтветитьThis was a perfect full circle moment for Sarah Connor. To go from being a nobody waitress and then going through what she did and then the end she got delivered last days in peace with her grown-up son and and beautiful granddaughter.
ОтветитьStrange to see a director actually giving a film a conclusion and not making it into sequel bait. A thing of the past. 🤷♂️
ОтветитьJohn looks too old for a child that age. Oh well... So he becomes a Senator or Representative according to this.
ОтветитьWell sorry 1992, John Connor is murdered by the me too movement. Sarah is alive though and mentoring some young lady from Mexico who will the future of the Resistance.
ОтветитьShe looks like the same in dark fate !!!
ОтветитьIt doesn't bother me that it's cheesy, what bothers me is how could John become a senator if he probably is charged with a lot of crimes after the whole T2 plotline and how come Sarah hasn't been taken back to a mental institution?
ОтветитьThis is how the franchise ended idgaf
ОтветитьThere was no Rise of the Machines, no Genesys, no Dark Fate.
ОтветитьThe true ending
ОтветитьI've hated T3 for 20 years now and it still irks me they decided to make that cynical crap and completely dismiss all the hard work and sacrifice in the previous movie and just basically say Judgment Day is inevitable no matter what. This ending is so perfect. Hope
ОтветитьYes!
ОтветитьOh geez...I rather deal with the newer ones
ОтветитьThis further proves that all the remaining Terminator movies don't count. T6 is redundant, t3 is redundant. None of it follows the story, and I believe James Cameron intentionally made t6 a bad movie, so the franchise would end.
ОтветитьThey made Linda Hamilton look actually old in this
ОтветитьWow the 90s in the Terminator series looks better
Ответить
