So the fish hafta wait outside for 3 months huh
ОтветитьI’m confused 🫤 when you do a water change are you not going back to the beginning
ОтветитьOMG, this was so easy and simple to understand. Thank you!! I know what I need to do know. Very close to adding some tropical fish in my new tank.
ОтветитьActually by adding as much plant as possible to the tank combined with some rocks from a nearby river or pond is a much better idea to bring stability to the water. Also it is not a problem to bring two or three fish after two days of the aquarium set up for the so-called cycle to happen.
Ответитьi would just like to say.. THANK YOU for making this way simple. after reading dozens of confusing articles that always said the same stuff without actually specifying this is so refreshing and helped me understand the entire thing so much more. i applaud you!
ОтветитьYou didn’t need to acclimate the shrimp to the new water? Was it water from another tank?
ОтветитьMy parameters are confusing me .
GH- 180
KH- 40
PH- 7-7.5
Nitrate - 160
Nitrite- 0-0.5
All my plants are growing, I have algae growth and some snails . All my fish look colourful and active, but over the last few weeks my gourami fish have become sick looking, only my gold ones, the rest are fine .
I’ve been doing water changes every day with 12 litre bucket and my tanks 200 litres.
The fish were a few years old but a couple have died and other gold one looks sick …. But everything else looks great .
Any help or pointers would be appreciated 😊
I have ammonia in my tank for some time now but no nitrites, why? I am using the Tetra test strip to test for nitrites/nitrates. Is it possible that the test strip is incorrect? Or do i just need to wait longer. It's been over a week or more now
ОтветитьThis is super helpful! But if you do a water change, don’t you have to repeat this process?
Ответитьso you introduce ammonia to get eaten by nirite and get eaten by nitrate
ОтветитьThis is by far THE most helpful step by step I've seen so far. I will be sharing this for sure.
ОтветитьI followed this video step by step and there is still ammonia after 4 weeks what could I be doing wrong😢😢😢😢😢
ОтветитьFinally 7 weeks later and I have. 25 ammonia, 25 nitrate and 1 nitrate. I dosed with prime and stability so as to not let it spike. Have I reached a full cycle now and should no longer need these chemicals?
ОтветитьSo I should be testing only once a week instead of daily? My ammonia simply won’t spike, and when it did it was so dark red you couldn’t see through the bottle and required a complete water change. I’ve been doing this for two months and cannot get my tank to start s proper good cycle to officially be cycled to finally add my fish to it.
ОтветитьWas this spnsipred
ОтветитьOkay but how often do we add fish food? Do we perform water changes while waiting for ammonia to appear? Can plant fertilizer to create ammonia instead? I need more info.. cant seem to find a video that offers a comprehensive step-by-step tutorial.
ОтветитьMy ammonia is at 0ppm, is that good? It’s been running for about 3 days. However the nitrite spiked to about 2
ОтветитьHow did you get that sheet
Ответитьthis helped me alot as i recently set up my first tank and very simple explanation, aprreciate
it :)
To continue the process of the nitrogen cycle, do have to add anything in the water to produce the beneficial bacteria? I am planning to start a 29 gallon tank with live plants; so should I just let the tank deal with the ammonia, or does something need to be added?
ОтветитьThey look golden
ОтветитьDo i need to put anything into the tank to add nitrites and or nitrates
Ответитьthe ammonia in my tank has been present for 2 months yet no nitrites are present. what could fix this?
ОтветитьI don’t I sweat and. I cycled my tank so how do I do a water change? Wouldn’t that defeat the purpose of a cycle?
ОтветитьReally nice video. Thank you;
ОтветитьOk so all you do is just throw some food in there or a shrimp, test it every 3 days for maybe 6-8 weeks until its yellow? Or do you have to take 1 test for ammonia, 1 test for nitro-something, and 1 test for nitrate every third day? Im very new to this and Im a dummy, and I dont have english as my first language, and my country dont really have any good information about it. I will be very happy if you could answer some questions that got me confused
ОтветитьBut how do I change the water after that.
What's the little bubble thing at first
Um wow this is a lot of stuff I'm starting to have a aquarium but sadly I only have the plastic ones for now and not enough money for that.
So please any tips I know I'm late but I'm not giving up on loving fish I'm 14 yrs
Explained so well. Can you film a video how you quarantine fish and what medications you use? Thanks
ОтветитьLooked everywhere and seen so many videos on the nitrogen cycle and how to cycle a tank for the past two weeks and this just fixed my problem. The other videos said “let me not complicate this for you” but they had my mind going everywhere. Thank you 🙏🏼
ОтветитьIt’s my first time cycling it’s been a week and nothing has happened! My fish comes soon, what do I do?
ОтветитьI've been extremely lucky all these years. I've been keeping aquariums on and off for 40 year's and I've never purchased all these chemicals to cycle my tanks.... water, hard scape , plants lastly fish and shrimp Then baby's lots of baby's...
ОтветитьThank you very much for the straight forward information, the easy to digest step by step process on what to look for was perfect.
ОтветитьBeneficial bacteria does not stay in your water column, it's on your gravel, rocks, etc
ОтветитьOmg so what do I do with the axolotl!!!! When it’s cycling where do I put it in my pocket ?
ОтветитьDoes this method also work for an axolotl tank?
ОтветитьI am cycling my first tank ever, so this video was very helpful! I tried to follow what she said to do, but added API quick start (bottled beneficial bacteria) on the third day. I've been testing regularly, and it's only been one week, but today I tested for nitrates as well and what I found surprised me.
Ammonia - 0.25
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - between 5-10
Does this mean it's ready for fish? It's only been a week so I had my doubts. I did a little digging and I'm pretty sure API quick start does not have added nitrate. It just happened so fast that I'm not so sure. Should I wait another week before getting fish or snails?? Any tips would be appreciated!
At the beginning did you add stress coat as well or was in unconditioned water?

ОтветитьI’ve been cycling my tank for four months, and I’m really struggling with it. I have a good nitrate level, but my ammonia and nitrite won’t go down. Ammonia is at roughly 0.50ppm, and nitrite is also at about 0.50-1ppm. I use the API quick start and the Seachem Prime for the tap water. Is there anything else I can do to speed it up?
ОтветитьCan the Ammonia be close to 0? Like 0.25? I cant tell if mines closer to 0 or closer to 0.25, even asked my mom 😅 for extra info i have some plants
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьHow do you know if it’s processing 4ppm of ammonia if you’re not adding ammonia
ОтветитьI still don't get it
ОтветитьHow often do you need to cycle a fish tank?
Ответитьwhen should i change the water
Ответитьcan I drop some fish food to the tank and it will add amonia ?
Ответить....We are almost there !
Ответитьhello but how much fish food should i give to the aquarium, and how often?? should i add fisshfood everytime I'm going to test the ammonia? Can you please make a video about what to do and the equipments we need when it comes to cycling? pleaseeee
