SoFi Bank App for Beginners - A Complete Guide 2024

I’m gonna say be careful. I absolutely enjoyed using SoFi. With that said I cut my ties from them. Credit card and checking. Long story short. I had a fraudulent charge made off 120.77. I live in key west Florida. A charge was made against my checking account in San Francisco California the same day I used my card for a 3 dollar purchase on a military base. I’m in the military. I waited for the charge to clear as advised from SoFi before being able to make a claim. Weeks go by and they responded in email saying that the charge was valid. I explained everything and ask them how? I requested for an appeal and provided all that I could which was the charges that were completed the day of the fraudulent charge (the 3 dollars I spent). They replied back and said they already have access to that and that I would need to provide more documentation of the fraudulent charge (what??????) I spoke with multiple reps and supervisors. The fraud department does not have a number to call and they only communicate through email. I explained to the reps what if the amount was 600,700,900+ dollars?? Would that mean I just lose that money???? I was extremely upset and was not refunded the 120.77. I called to close my credit card with them yesterday and explained why I’m closing the account when the rep asked. She understood my frustration and was actually getting emotional herself over the phone because of it and couldn’t answer why the matter was not fixed. This was also right before the holidays.
