He served 8 yrs which is enough to teach him a lesson. He found God. Trump listened to his wife and pardoned him. Trump allowed him to be with his family again in which he was very passionate about. I think it’s a fair pardon.

I live in Illinois and used to despise RB for quite a while. However, i completely changed my outlook on him after hearing a really good and long interview on a radio with Mancow. His story is insane and i DO believe him. I've heard a few other interviews and the story has never changed. He was totally setup from the very beginning and they really used lawfare against him. Sad the way it worked out for him and his family but he did completely change his stance on many things. All because of King Obama's beginnings

Can someone point to a time where dems actually were for the working class? I’m being serious I’d love to know when their actions backed their words. Right now republicans are in a spot to turn around their record of when given the opportunity they ball it up and get little done that they preach. I live in Illinois and I can tell you Rod was not innocent of crimes. He was a horrible governor and he was corrupt and pushed insane policies down our throats without representation from us. He can say what he wants but he was not innocent like he claims and he has no business ever being in politics ever again. I’m not sure why Trump pardoned him other than his sentence did seem to be a little excessive for his crimes considering some rapists/murderers don’t get that much time here in Illinois and those crimes are worse than what Rod did in my opinion. However I think us Illinoisans felt like Rod deserved that amount of time and more for all the corruption he wasn’t charged with but should have been charged with so to us his time was fair.

When he got out of prison I followed him on Twitter and he was trying to get me to buy some of his T-shirts lol

Nobody is saying it but the truth is Trump is a centrist. Those in his immediate group like Tulsi gabard and Elon Must and Trump himself were once called Democrats. They broke away from the extremists and joined the Republican party where the extremist elites had less control. Then Trump took on the extremists of both parties. I think Trump will continue to draw centrists of both parties to him. I am a right leaning centrist. To the left I am merely a conservative but I am actually quite centrist. I think left leaning and right leaning centrists can quite easily get along and even vote in unison to kick out these elitist crooks who are on a frivolous spending spree in our government
