Here's me thinking I've been pretty lucky in the beard growing department and then you go and show a guy with a beard that looks similar to mine when you said "patchy beard" 😭 BTW I don't think that guys beard is actually patchy, it's just light coloured and still growing in. It would look fuller if it was a bit longer. That's maybe a month of growth? A few months more and it should look pretty full

Let it grow for a year if it's patchy, then go to a barbers to 'shape it up' Most people quit too soon as it looks terrible for a while.

So I've been growing out my (curly) hair for many months and every time I go to the barber, I've asked for drop fades. And to match this, I've always shaved my facial hair to be a disconnected goatee.

However, last week I got an undercut, which I braided into cornrows (I plan to keep this hairstyle for the next few months). Now this time when I tried to go for the disconnected goatee, it looked kinda off, probably coz of lack of contrast.

So does anyone know any good facial hair styles I should try out?

simple , if u have longer hairstyle with no fades go for 3 to 5mm beard lenght & if u have clean cut faded hairstyle go for 7 to10mm,12,15 etc breard length..
