if a quasar is defined as a black hole sucking other stars, why do they keep saying quasars are far away billiions light years away. i saw a neutron star video sucking up other stars , that seems to fall into the quasar catagory too. basically, gravity or curved spaces suck up other stars. about.... local cluster galaxy, super cluster galaxy...etc.... in their centers, there is a big blackhole to do the job. that is all. it is a shame astronomers illogic definition causes me a lot of my time wasting.

do quasars emit Hawking radiation ? wouldn't that settle argument ?

It is absolutely astonishing that matter falling into a supermassive black hole produces energy so prodigiously and with an efficiency ten times that of the centre of the sun. Extraordinary.

Couldn't some of these theoretical objects be the making of a 'galactic dynamo'? The old Princeton praetorian once scoffed at the actions of electromagnetism at such scales but looks like they were wrong on that one? It's a shame many astronomers have been discouraged presenting evidence that conflicts with the sacred text of GR/Big Bang cosmology. Just ask someone like Chip Arp...

Black holes are very different than stars?
Black holes are much colder than stars, so that objects from space don’t get burned, as with stars.
Objects from space can be “consumed,” so black holes can become more heavy.
And it can happen that temperature-differences are so great, that a black hole can (partially) evaporate.
Or not?

You cannot look at this stuff and not realize that there are no black holes at the center of galaxies. There are no black holes.
Just a little bit of research into Halton Arp and you will realize that he was right about galaxies and quasars.
The red shift is because the quasars are extremely young and that they are not redshifted by any doppler effect. And the center of galaxies are sending matter out of their polar jets, creating new galaxies and quasars.

Brava to Prof. Crawford. If Sir Thomas Gresham's bequest has done nothing else, it has encouraged many generations of scholars in various disciplines to learn how to lecture on their areas of expertise in ways that "just plain folks" can comprehend. She did it beautifully here.

For some interesting information, Google Gresham College. It has no students and issues no degrees. It is a free lecture college and was instrumental in forming the Royal Society. The professors are there for 3 or 4 years and receive 50 pounds a year.
So basically Professor Crawford and the other professors develop these amazing lectures on their own time.

The problem with the concept of black holes is that it is totally mathematical abstraction, unfortunately for these armchair scientists Mathematica is not physics. In addition the singularity is it purely mathematical Notion, these astrophysicist attempt to shoe horn this into reality, but in doing so they create logical contradictions and also introduce violations of known physical laws.

Where f(x) = 1/x and x goes to 0 (zero). The function is said to explode goes into infinity.. also this process of dividing by zero is not defined in mathematics. Normally when the process goes into infinity in particle physics it is Considered an error and if the formulations Persist in giving infinities, the formulation is considered invalid idea. In Some cases a process called “normalization” Is done in order to get the right answer.
In astrophysics this principle is totally ignored, Dividing by zero, that is the Infinities are considered valid, without regard to the absurdities.
The astrophysicist are obsessed with the concept of matter collapsing into a singularity With the zero volume, infinite density and infinite temperature and a-point singularity that rotates or spins. No explanations are given on how any Physics can occur in an place a point which has zero volume.
Take for example temperature:what his temperature? Temperature is a measure of the average kinetic energy of the particles of a substance. The higher the temperature of an object, the higher is its kinetic energy. Kinetic energy is a type of energy associated with motion. ... Now the question; how is it possible to have particles with Kinetic energy in a zero volume space? This is never answered by the astrophysicist. This is the reason why she avoids the term “singularity” because it opens the absurdity of this enigma, which cannot be explained.


The following are three quantum mechanical mechanisms which prohibits the formation of black holes.
Annihilation
Can Matter be compressible to the point of infinity? To get the answer, let’s simplify to improve interaction. Take two particles say an electron and a positron and accelerate them to a point of collusion. What would happen in this scenario?
Well, these particles will never come together to form a neutral particle of higher density, but according to the laws of physics, these two particles will convert their energies into gamma-ray photons, in other words, these colliding fermions will become a high-energy boson (gamma) that would radiate into the surrounding space. Nature will never allow the creation of a neutral particle in this case. This is an example how nature Prohibits the concentration of matter to a the point of infinity. This is called mutual annihilation.

Scattering
Now lets see another scenario, where we have two protons which are charged positively and we will accelerated these particles towards a collision via a force in order to create a high density particle with the charge of +2, we quickly find out that nature prohibit this from happening due to the coulombs forces, which in this case is a repelling force, this repulsive force is Inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the Charged particles and if you increase the forces to join these particles together the repelling force Will also increase, never allowing these bodies to merge into one. Here’s another physical principal that Inhibits the creation of a high density singularity.

Quantum Tunneling (The primary mechanism for Hawkins radiation)
Thought experiment; say we have two or more quantum particles we would want to compress them by using a container, we slowly move the walls of the cotainer inward, there by reducing cubic size of such container. In so doing the particles motions within become more restrictive (The density is increase). But before the containers Volume reaches zero a new phenomenon called Tunneling takes effect which would not allow the confinement of these quantum particles within the containers, in other words the particles would escape the confines of the walls (barriers). One more mechanism in nature that would never allow the densities required for black hole to be formed

Definitely the most comprehensive video on quasars i have ever seen. I like how she takes the time to explain the processes used to come to the conclusions. Also she does a very good job of making it clear that these are ideas/theories not 100% conclusive information. I find a lot of science documentaries are brutal at this.

With all due respect Quasars are proto-galaxies spat from the core of Seyfert galaxies this has been observed by Halton Arp who not only had his paper rejected but with extreme malice, who ever loses tenure over a paper,? Arp that's who, they took away his telescope time, they are not at the edges of the universe but connected through filament to their parent galaxy, perhaps she should go back to school and learn plasma physics, just saying.

It's funny that someone as clearly intelligent as her keeps mixing up the concepts of eclipse and occultation. For instance when the moon blocks the Sun that isn't an eclipse that's an occultation and she used the term correctly when she was referring to the Moon blocking the Quasar but then she used the term Eclipse right afterwards which is an incorrect use of the term. the thing that's eclipsed in that instance is the Earth since that is where the shadow falls. Same thing with a so-called solar 'eclipse'. In that instance the thing that's being eclipse is the earth since again that is where the shadow Falls. Funny thing though during a lunar eclipse since the shadow of the earth falls onto the moon the use of the term is correct.

In 1966 Halton C. Arp proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that quasars are spit out of the core of Seyfert galaxies and are proto-galaxies themselves for his efforts he was essentially muzzled and his telescope time was taken away, but it didn't stop him, that is why he is now hailed as the modern Galileo, by the big bang religion bible astro physical journal as to not be relegated to the heap bin of history and keep the lie alive.
