A very dull and dry book with tons of great information. Tough read though

Honestly I had a hard time reading this, as Chris mentioned. Maybe I had a good amount of time investing by the time I picked up the book. 🤔

Excellent video content! Excuse me for butting in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you researched - Riddleagan Best Choice Remedy (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a smashing one off product for learning how to use your mind to manifest amazing success in life without the hard work. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my m8 at very last got amazing results with it.

But don't you think repetition makes something bypass the conscious mind and gets stored in the sub-conscious. I believe in repetition, that is just my opinion

I tossed the book after ch. 3 It started to feel like a Ron L. Hubbard book except about positive thoughts. It began with some good ideas and quotes but got boring, repetitive and difficult to read shortly after starting. Way overrated!

It’s a good motivator for anybody who is under the age of 25, can’t think critically yet and has never started a business.

But when you look up who Napoleon Hill was….

The positive thinking aspect of the ORIGINAL edition is one of the most important points!

In Outwitting the Devil, he actually talks about the power of repetition! So it's definitely intentional.

Great short review though 😎

although napoleon was a total con man, the book is full of real wisdom.... you cant believe a word of what he said about obtaining that wisdom, nevertheless, it is priceless.
he was right ... the first and last part of the book are much easier to read, the middle is a bit tedious, just nothing too exciting, yet tons of critical stuff... i suggest you slow down on the middle parts and i also suggest you make notes on the entire book, notes you can go through in a couple of hours... so you never have to read the book again.
actually sit down and do the exercises...they are critical... and as a business man, i find so much truth in what he has said, everything from desire, faith, self suggestion, leadership, persistence, planning etc.
i am generally not a self help type guy, but it is clear this man has read or got the concepts from earlier books
if you truly want to succeed...i suggest 3 books
1 . as a man thinketh
this will clarify that your mindset is everything, and your environment, your peers etc....and if you want success, you have to have the right postitive mindset, and stop planting weeds in the fertile soil of your mind , and start planting beautiful flowers... and that who you associate with rubs off on you...and you are being dragged down by friends, family
2. think and grow rich
will teach you about taking time out to find out what you truly want, and then how that can be transmuted into reality, if you learn to affirm those ideas with real feeling and emotion , which will instill faith into you, and belief... eventually you will be tunnel vision focussed on certain goals ...yes goal setting, and you will be so driven that all obstacles will be brushed aside and you will only stop once you have reached your goals...so set them big, do the exercises and allow your subconscious and imagination to come up with the plans ..and dont listen to people who have plenty of opinions, but dont actually know what they are talking about ..go seek out proper advice....dont boast or be negative , be positive and colaborative etc...i could go on
3. release your brakes by james newman.
this book will show you that you have matter of factly been programming yourself for failure all your life
with your limiting beliefs, that you consantly repeat over and over , with the things you see and your environment, and that you need to start erradicating these limiting beliefs by remembering things and times in life when you were successful, when you were happy , and then build a custom list of affirmations regarding what you want from life and as you go through them, you must relive and visualise the good times and successful times you previously had....
these affirmations will give you a new lease of life , will change you inside and out, you will become the person you want to be, the person you really could be...and you will learn a lot about how you have been spoken to by parents friends collegues and more importantly tyourself....and how this has ruined your confidence, ..and the new affirmations will rebuild your self esteem ,
the book will make you realise that certain people and thoughts must be erradicated from your life...they are bringing nothing to your journey but hinderance,..and its time to cut the chord.

by the way ...i have come across tony robbins, something vernycheck, grant cordone, and they may have amassed money , but they are basically just rewording and stealing ideas from the above 3 books...throw them in the bin .

a couple of other decent books for entrepreneur types.
believe it or not ...alan sugar book is great for seeing how this little man, had a great life by going it alone and using common sense and getting things done
shoe dog , a book about the founder of nike and to a certain extent ...the main marketing executive of asics (accidentally) ..and the hurdles this guy had to jump to get things moving and keep things going were astounding,
how to get rich by felix denis....this is a great book, not very mindful , but great fun and really clear in raw terms about how to get rich some great tips....and tought by an expert.
last but not least , a book or rather the first part of the book i really enjoyed was MAXWELL the outsider by tom bower.
tom doesnt like maxwell, but gave him a fair representation in the book, and i was astounded by the driving force behind this man, even thoguh he was eventually a crook, ...but i tip my hat to robert maxwell , a true phenomena of driven business, leadership and big balls, intelligence, big ego and made things happen due to his ability to get things done and his drive....in a word...DRIVEN... the latter parts of the book are a bit boring and more documentary, but the first part really tells you how this man got shit happening.
