I got to see these guys for the first time back in November. This man is an absolute beast in person. I couldn’t tell who was having a better time, the crowd going full animal or Alex up on stage with a massive smile on his face

I actually have a band you should check out. When I was younger they were and still are my favorite band and the day I had planned on making a terrible permanent solution for a temporary I went and seen them live and got to meet the entire band and they were so amazing. Such a genuinely amazing group of guys

When you talk about emotions and how they effect ones life, these guys put so much heart and emotion into their music it is insane. I saw them in July last year and still get goosebumps every time I think about just how much passion and pure emotion they give each and every night. I just started therapy to help get my emotions in check and how to cope better, and this band has been one of them who helps me release things in a good manner. Try and go see them live and you will not be disappointed in them.

To be clear, Alex can do that at full volume and be heard. I've seen him do it while wrestling a bear for a music video (behind the scenes shot) and also after winning a MMA sparring match where he did fairly well. He does some covers of other songs too, you should check em out after you listen to STP's albums.

No one ever mentions how similar some of the themes and lyrics are to Krigsgaldr, which is about warring Germanic tribes. I don't know for sure, but I think this song is also telling that story based on the lyrics.

I was actually talking about how hard it was to unlearn being an asshole as a default response, because while it did help protect me as a child/teenager against bullies it was supremely unhelpful as an adult who wanted to make genuine connections. I don't want to hurt those I love, you know? I'm much happier now at nearly 40 being softer and vulnerable and kind and understanding, but it was a difficult road to get here.

I will tell you this I love metal all genres. It lets out a inner energy that most men can relate too. However I must confess my guilty pleasure as a child or 18 rather was to roll all my windows down crank the amp and banpass and just pull up to people at stop lights and look at there face when they look over at them to see the reaction so to speak. Modern car AC efficiency has ruined this lol.

During my struggles with social anxiety disorder and depression I always felt that extreme music like screamo-rap, metalcore, deathcore etc. reflected the chaos inside my own head, like the vocalist was expressing the emotions I was feeling myself. Nowadays, after much therapy and feeling better, I still enjoy it, but I listen to it much less. NF was also a massive support for me, especially drifting and chasing have a deep connection to the emotions I felt at the time, drifitng for my depression and chasing for struggling with the fact that I kept finding myself in the same place, breaking down in tiredness and sadness due to stress.

They will be coming back to Incarceration this year! 2023 show was crazy good!
