Is the Honda RL or toyota Tc DIY friendly
ОтветитьDefinitely do NOT buy the Honda, piece of junk and the dealer does not even know how to maintain. If I stop one person from buying a Ridgeline I have helped somebody.
ОтветитьI "downgraded" from a '22 4runner TRD Sport (the one everyone shits on) to a '21 Ridgeline Sport and im a lot happier with that decision than everyone tells me i am. I fill up the tank half as often for $10 less, i dont feel every single pebble on the road or have my entire car shake and roll over every crack, i seamlessly accelerate on the freeway between gears instead of jolting between 4th and 5th trying to cruise at 70mph, AND my insurance premiums went down 15% AND my vehicle excise tax went down by 20%
Yeah, even tho everyone tells me i made a huge mistake going from a reliable truck to a reliable "truck" car, i dont feel like i made a mistake at all!
I’ve been leaning toward the Ridgeline. Online research recommended the 2020-2023. I’m still searching for fair to great deals. 2017-2019 should be avoid due to recalls.
ОтветитьLol these numbers are way off sept 2023 expect to drop 28-32k on a 30-50k mile 2017-2018 rtl
ОтветитьMy Ridgeline failed miserably!!! Do not waste your money.
ОтветитьNew subscriber.. Great narration and I really enjoyed the part with your son at the end. 👍
Ответить'Everyman Drive' excellent video! However, I been looking for one of these used and I can tell you there's none available anywhere near the used resale price you suggest. I suppose something has changed since this video was published. My pal has a 2019 Ridgeline and his dealer has been hounding him to 'sell' it to them. $27,200 cash ... no kidding. He paid $35, 400 for it brand new. He's holding on to it as he loves the truck and after 4 years ownership he has not had a single problem. He loves it.
ОтветитьHpd sounds like a disease.
ОтветитьJust bought an rtl-e, will be built next month. I'm coming from a 2017 tacoma. Time for something with a better ride and higher tech. I only use the bed for Costco runs and other bulky items for the family. No need for off roading. Ground height is lowered so might do worse in heavy snow, but we're seeing less and less heavy snowfall around here over the past few years
ОтветитьLooking at a 2022 today. My f150 ecoboost sucks gas like soda!
ОтветитьYeah, but here’s the thing. Owners of the Ridgeline don’t care about five-year depreciation because they love them so much they hang onto them.
ОтветитьOh, and, it's built in Lincoln, Alabama.
ОтветитьResale? Your estimation seems a little off, even first gen. with high mileage gets $7500-15,000.
If buying a used Ridgeline, I feel like 2018-2019 is the way to go; these had the Honda 6-speed transmissions. 2020 up, ZF 9-speeds which were more problematic, higher maintenance.
However, the 2019 and earlier models do not have a locking tailgate; one can be installed pretty easily. And, quite frankly, the dealerships should've installed it for free, as that was a dumb thing to leave off.
Accessories. You'll never find a bed-cover for this thing that won't leak; I think a lot of this had to do with those gaps toward the cab, more than the bed cover itself. The OEM bed cover is okay, but also no lock.
Otherwise it's a good pickup; the AWD is really nice on sharp, rutty trails; the rack-and-pinion on a 4WD with a long wheel base won't last long on these types of roads.
It's the ultimate tailgater, with the bed-audio... which is pretty good... and the trunk, which can also serve as an ice-chest; it has a drain-plug. The bed AC outlet is nice for blowing up water rafts and stuff, also good for setting-up camp in the dark.
The bed is nigh completely flat and rectangular, easy to pack and haul stuff in, whether it's cargo or sheetrock.
Can't complain really.
is this a good family car? is it good on mpg and are the seats in the back conforable for long trips with 4 or 5 adult, what's the used year to buy?
ОтветитьExcellent Review,, I’m getting one. Greetings from Costa Rica
ОтветитьWho spends more money for less capability? Posh city boys 😂
ОтветитьBest truck ever made.
ОтветитьRidgeline. Unibody design. Enough said. Compare is to a Maverick.
ОтветитьMy 2018 Honda Ridgeline had 5 safety recalls, made noises and was in the shop for 10 days and honda couldn't find the source and said just keep driving it it may wear down (which 5,000 miles it did) - also, the 2017-2019 ridgelines have a defect with the engines where fuel injectors are pushed in to far and clog up. Many blogs talk about this and around 50k miles i had to get mine fully replaced because check-engine emission light came on. Lots of folks have this issue. Also the 2017-2019 power train (transmission) is used on the ridgleine/odessy and pilot all have many issues with failing between 50k-70k and it costs about 5k repair. I got rid of my 2018 honda ridgeline this January of 2023 and traded it in for a Mazda. I don't miss it at all, A few weeks after dumping it i got an email of yet another recall regarding tailgate camera. So happy don't have to bring that dang thing back into the shop to waste hours for another warrenty repair. Anyway, Honda Civics and the Honda CRV have different teams and they are reliable, for me the Honda Ridgeline had the most recalls then any vehicle i ever owned and I had zero confidence it was going to last. When I drove it all i kept thing was "what's the next thing to go wrong". I am so happy i got rid of it, and not ever buying another Honda again, it was a painful experience.
My first 100 miles on the truck it made all types of noises, honda couldn't figure out the source, it was in the shop 4x and one time they kept it for 10 days. I tried to file lemon law but honda wouldn't help.
Ridgeline needed to upgrade the interior. I hated those very uncomfortable folded arm rest. Why couldn't they designed a padded arm rest? Also the towing capacity is a big deal breaker.
ОтветитьSoon I will get one as the prices continue to collapse.
ОтветитьThose resale numbers don’t make any sense compared to what I’m actually seeing.
ОтветитьOne of the best, straight forward reviews I have seen on YT so far. Well done.
ОтветитьMy 2 cents: todays Ridgeline is actually great off road. Suspension has proven to hood up better than others. It’s AWD system has proven to literally go anywhere. Seems good.
ОтветитьI want the sport trim but I dislike the cloth seats. So I need to go for the black edition because I hate chrome trim. That's an 8k difference. Sucks.
ОтветитьI really dig the ridgeline. Especially that it is more manageable in tight parking lots than a half ton but can fit kids car seats better than the other midsize trucks
ОтветитьDepreciation chart at beginning is garbage. Based on that lack of credibility no need to watch rest of video.
ОтветитьWARNING: No full size spare.
Ответитьcan it do any off-roading?
ОтветитьI have yet to see a 2022 ridgeline with 12,000 miles sell for 32k. More like 45k
ОтветитьI wouldn't mind used prices coming back into line with this so I can pick one up. *sinister grin....soon enough...soon enough
ОтветитьIf you buy it new you get a lifetime power train warranty. Actually covers quite a bit of things.
ОтветитьI bought a '22 Black Edition. Didn't watch this before I bought, but it wouldn't have mattered. I drove it, my wife drove it, we liked it, we bought it. The end.
ОтветитьYour depreciation numbers are WAY off in the current market. 2017 AWD RTL-T or better with less than 50k miles are still selling for 34,000+. That’s only about 18-20% depreciation over 5 years!
ОтветитьThe Depreciation of the Ridgeline is non existing currently. The higher end 2019 Honda Ridgeline originally sold around $34k and the dealerships are selling a used 2019 Ridgeline with 30-40k miles on it at $35k-$40k LOL. It is absolutely nuts how the vehicles have actually gained value haha.
ОтветитьMY HONDA DEALER IS FRICKIN EMPTY!!!!
ОтветитьThese trucks are NOT depreciating at all! THERE IS A WAITING LIST FOR THEM NEW AND USED!!!
ОтветитьI purchased a 2021 Honda Ridgeline RTL-E in Radiant Red Metallic and a beautiful black leather interior. The handling and ride quality is outstanding! The in-bed trunk is smart and the dual action tailgate is so convenient! Love the in-bed audio while I’m playing outside. Totally 100% satisfied.
ОтветитьHonda makes a truck? No...no, they dont.
ОтветитьI got my RTL 2022 super smooth ride , very comfortable interior, very versatile vehicle. The only issue that I have is connecting my android to use the google GPS, its very slow connecting to the vehicle. I bought a new USB cable but the problem still.
ОтветитьI like these suburban trucks they’re very comfortable, affordable and reliable, I’m a Pilot owner this is very similar with added small bed, I couldn’t do those Gold wheels though
ОтветитьRidgelines are great highway cruisers unlike Tacomas which tend to sway down the highway at high speeds. I driven both and the Ridgeline rides much better. However if you do alot of off road driving the Tacoma would be better. Dealers in my area selling Hondas at MSRP. Ridgelines keep their values.. I can't find a used Ridgeline at a decent price.
ОтветитьCome on man get your facts straight! I have sold used vehicles and I'm seeing 21 Ridgelines sell for as much if not a little more. Most people have to pre order and wait several months for a brand new one at majority of dealerships. Also this is the #1 rated midsize truck you can buy. Trying to say it's not a truck is trying to say some one is not the gender they are as an infant. If you don't believe me look at majority of the comments even on your page of people who love there Ridgeline trucks! This video is Garbage!
ОтветитьI'm really diggin that Sport edition in those exact colors! Twe gold rims really set it off. Throw a set of slightly larger BFG ATKO2s with white letters and it's ready to roll
ОтветитьOutstanding cruck!
ОтветитьCouldn't get through this review. The numbers at the beginning are simply foolish.
