Love your videos❤
Old school tech ftw all day
New tech low key kinda lame
I just wanna know how you got the miles to empty to 350+ miles?? I have this same model and i only get 315 miles on a full tank :/ ive had it since it came out and my main complaints are the lack of aftermarket support and extremely horrible resale value. I have a bronco coming in the next couple months and can not wait to get rid of this thing lol
ОтветитьI have a 2023 Ridgeline and I love it. This is a "truck for the rest of us".
ОтветитьIf I had the money I would buy one and beat the living shit out of it (only do oil changes and tires). Will abuse it till it gives up and finally dies.
ОтветитьWho cares now tough it is? Most trucker owners are posers and never take their precious vehicles off smooth payment
ОтветитьWow, those 'off-roady' wheels are just horrible. They just ooze AutoZone clearance bin snap on hub caps.
ОтветитьYou need the 2022 black edition Honda ridgeline, it has all of the techs you spoke about at the 10 minute mark
Ответитьim sorry, i love every other video, but this, this i have to dislike, I greatly apoligize good sir.
ОтветитьUgliest truck in years
ОтветитьThere is literally 0 benefit of the ridgeline. Isn't much better on gas than a full size real truck, tows less and doesn't have real 4x4. For the price of a ridgeline you might as well buy an actual full size or even mid size truck with better capability. Unless you really like that gimmicky cooler bullshit in the truck bed.
ОтветитьAll function and a joy to driver Just bought a low mileage 2017 RTL-T AWD. The fake front grill and needless dual exhaust are poser accessories...lol.
ОтветитьThis would be perfect for someone who just needs to store equipment or tools in.
ОтветитьThey'd be more popular if the engine wasn't set up like a front wheel drive 🤔🤔🤔side saddle no thanks.
ОтветитьDougie my man I would refrain from trimming bud right before you bust out a vid. My dudes fingers are always jacked up 😅
ОтветитьHaving PD on your car is like driving a white crown Vic……… I’ll pass lol
ОтветитьI have bought and sold two of these beauties for other manly looking trucks but have regretted my decision ever since. Thes are the best trucks period if you do not tow alot.
ОтветитьI own a 2022 RTL-E. Yeah, it’s pricey but it’s the perfect truck for a guy who doesn’t need a truck.
ОтветитьI just rode in one of these it's super cool
ОтветитьThe truck has HPV?
ОтветитьIf they redesign this to look more like the new pilot, it will be the best truck in the segment. Sales aren’t low because it’s not as capable as the competition, they’re low because it looks like a minivan. Honda, please, make it look like a truck so I can give you my money.
ОтветитьIt's not an off roader but neither are most trucks just because it has 4x4 doesn't make it an off reader and it can handle off road better than most basic trucks there's a video where it show that a ridgleline withstands bumpy roads way better than most trucks where the other trucks would break the strut seals from prolonged bumpy road usage. This truck is an amazing truck for those that Don't actually need a truck but it has everything practical from a truck besides the v8 power, the questions to the buyer is do you really need a gas guzzling truck, are you brave enough to strut one of these in a society 😂, and are you gonna using it for towing or working like construction if you answered is against any any of these DO NOT BUY THIS TRUCK, just fork over the money for a V8 and shut up. This I repeat is a fun truck
ОтветитьI have a 2021 Sport with the HPD package that is my daily driver. I use it for work, and it’s been one of the best “work” vehicles I have ever owned. The in-bed storage bin and the 2 way tailgate were huge selling points for me. The interior room with the rear seat folded up was amazing also. It’s very likely, I’ll buy another one when it comes time to trade again. It’s also one of the only mid-sized trucks eligible for the Section 179 tax credit on “business equipment”.
ОтветитьGotta be honest, he reviewed this a few years too late. A lot of manufacturers have caught on to a lot of the innovations that the ridgeline first presented back in the early to mid 2010s, including the in-bed trunk. He also should have reviewed a black edition rather than an off-road package. One of the big perks that could have been displayed was the in-bed truck audio system, something else that makes this truck a tailgater's dream and something that was heavily marketed in its advertising. Kind of a missed opportunity with this review, and its a shame :/
ОтветитьI prefer the dedicated tachometer over dedicated speedometer in this model for hills and towing. It does have paddle shifters.
ОтветитьThis is absurd, most of the midsized trucks at $41,000 will give you power seats and illuminated mirrors
ОтветитьDef not worth the $.
ОтветитьI own Honda pilot, accord and I always drove Honda since 1996 and I love Honda and everything it offers
ОтветитьOne of your last statements rings fairly true. A few years back, prior to covid, I had test drove a Tacoma because I thought it would fit my backpacking/biking lifestyle well, but even that was a bit big and "trucky" for me. I ended up with a Subaru, but I think if I had someone like you and your review tell me to then maybe check out the ridgeline, I very well could have went home with one instead. Honda Ridgeline tagline: a much more practical actually usable truck for the masses than you think lol
Ответитьcould you imagine Doug doing a review in a straight jacket? he would explode because he could not flail his arms around.🤣🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьA ridge line isn’t a truck, it’s literally a Honda pilot with a bed in the back
ОтветитьNot a truck. Full size men can hardly fit into it.
Ответить“Drives less truckey.” 😂😂😂
ОтветитьThis video made me totally not intereted in the ridgeline. What I got from this video is that if I bought one, I would be spending a LOT of extra money on stuff that "makes it look like offroad", but it's not really offroad capable. Great job at anti-selling.
ОтветитьCars and Bids... Apparently, by his little ad, if you are looking to buy, you just might get ripped off by exhorbitantly high prices.
Ответить"Dip your toe"? That is the stupidest way of describing this. Why don't you say that it is a light duty truck for people who want the comfort of a car with the functionality of a cargo bed?
ОтветитьI did Not like the original Ridgeline, and yes 'HPD' stickers are ridiculous and I would not have that.
ОтветитьRidge line comes with no mirror lights, charging slots, electric seats, or sunroof for 41k
Who’s running this company? Frank Shirley?
How much truckiness could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck trucky trucks?
ОтветитьI bought a new 2018 Ridgeline for $41K and it came with seats that were powered, leather, and heated. It also came with a sun roof. It also came with a Nav system and USB ports in the rear seating area. It also has all the safety features in the 2021 model. I think I'd rather have that stuff than a new grill, bronze wheels, and fender covers.
ОтветитьThis is literally just an overpriced tacoma. 40,000 dollars for a mid Size truck. You can get a full size truck for that price.
ОтветитьHow do you miss the trunk bed speaker quirk?!?!?!?!
They listened to customers. In 2021 they fixed the volume knob, added a lock to tailgate, also rear doors open wider. BUT!!!!
To make it better, I’d argue they need the following: Needs new infotainment bigtime!, a tune knob, a shift knob, increase to 6-7k towing, refresh to match 2024’s, and maybe 1 more inch room in back seats.
They definitely made it truckier in 2021 vs 17-20, as Doug is wrong again. They squared it off vs pilot and hood is more flat.
If they make these changes for a 2024, I’m a buyer 110%.
Some cool practical features. Fold up back seats , great for lots of stuff. Interesting tailgate , and very handy bed storage , great job.
ОтветитьSeems like a generally negative review, however I am a Ridgeline owner and I love it. I’ve owned Fords, Chevrolet and Toyota pickups and the Ridgeline is my favorite. The only real drawback that you don’t mention is the limited towing capacity of 5,000 lbs. If you want the luxurious features then buy the RTL-E or Black Edition models. There are a lot of Ridgelines on the roads in the Southeast. I will definitely replace my Ridgeline with another Ridgeline when it comes time to buy a new truck.
ОтветитьThis truck is exactly what I'm looking for. A daily driver that I can haul some plywood or mulch from the home improvement store. Heaviest thing I'd tow would be my lawn mower.
ОтветитьI'm pushing 60 years old and I've had my fun driving off road...
Driving on highly used logging roads to go camping, fishing, & hunting is NOT driving Off-Road.
It's only when one chooses to take alternate routes that are off the beaten path that one can truly start to begin going, Off-Road!
Going Off-Road, almost always means (at least) enduring scratches & dents to one's vehicle, no matter what kind of vehicle it happens to be.
Perhaps it's just me, but I would guesstimate that 90 percent of people that purchase off-road capable trucks, never take their trucks off-road.
I would consider that 80 percent of most off-road trucks rarely even drive on dirt roads.
Most of this, "Off-Road" capabilities is marketing, nothing more.
The Ridgeline is a very capable truck (yes, I said truck) for 90 percent of what the majority of people use a midsized pickup truck for.
The other 10 percent, is for those that need either a larger truck, or who actually go off-road.
That's my unsolicited & fairly argumentative opinion.
Cheers!
I want a truck, but I don’t want a truck person to talk to me
ОтветитьGive me a type r like the civic and manual with awd they made living making race cars, motorcycles, make me Ridgeline that’s sporty and fun to drive with a 6 speed manual Honda lol
ОтветитьI find I haul stuff in my Ranger extended cab 5-6 times per month that just can't be hauled as easily in the back of an SUV - dirty trash, yard tools, helping people move, school and church projects, kayaks, dirt bike, weekend projects, camping trips, etc. Now that I have a baby on the way, the Ranger won't work logistically and I need to get a new truck (wife has a basic sedan but we both need vehicles that can transport a child safely). I've narrowed it down to the Ridgeline or the Tacoma crew cab. I don't want trucks the size of an F-150 - too big.
I'd like to hear people with experience who have babies/young kids and have/had this truck.
I love the ridgeline but hate the idea of HPD
