strange that the 4670K is better in some areas still. but the overclock looked nice and seems like a pretty good gaming cpu, cost is the same as the 4670K so if one decides to build one now with a z97(with the possibility of upgrading to broadwell later this year) its a pretty good engine(cpu) until then:D 

Nononooo, must have hyperthreading, the only way to be future proof otherwise buying this one is a waste of time!

How are you getting that much more fps in battlefield with some cpus the fps should be around the same because it's mainly gpu dependent?

I would be nice, if you also showed som overclocking results. The most people who buys a K model processor would overclock it. Now i my self have the 4690K, and the overclocking results over the 4670K is pretty good, because you have 6 - 8 degress celcius more of headroom. But your right between 4670K and 4690K at stock speeds, there isn't a big difference. But if you are planing on overclocking there is a good advantage to the 4690K :)

i5 4690 is a perfect cost effective trade off for those who want to game but also run virtual machines and do photo work...

I like the i5 4690 a lot!

(Or now the i5 6600k but then again, I am not sure about DDR4 RAM prices, if it is on the high side it might not even be worth it.)
