Can you run 35's on a 2 1/2 inch lift? I thought you were limited to 33's. FYI...I own a '97 TJ.

@Danrockwell what are a good brand of tires and can you put 33 inch tires on 2008 jeep wrangler without a lift kit I’ve been looking at videos. I also went to my Dodge Jeep ram dealership and fire stone tires but so indecisive on what kind of tires to get but I want the look. Lol fire stone told me that they don’t think they will fit it in some of the tires that I looked at. They said they don’t come in 33s did BF good rich I looked at those the Falken bridge stones Toyo nittos Mickey Thompsons

I just got a jlu…with 35’s but I heard 35’s eat up your gas more than 33’s not sure if that’s true

If you are going to lift your Jeep and change tires buy a rubicon. Longevity is the key!!!

I just got a jeep and I don't go off roading but love the look. Do you Recommend 40s or 37s like yours. Or 38s. I just need help because I don't know to much. Another question is, will 40s give me alot of problem?

This is horrible advise….
1. Lift - but don’t cheap out like he said, save up, get a lift with adjustable control arms for 3.5 and less and 4” and above a long arm kit, with adjustable compression shocks or coilovers
2. Steering, you need to swap out your steering linkages, drag link, track bar, tie rod, while I’m at this I do the knuckles and ball joints too i use and recommend everyone saves up and buys
- Tera flex track bar drop bracket with frame brace
- Tera flex ball joints ( the pre load is adjustable, IE the last pair of ball joints you’ll ever need
- Teraflex high steer knuckles
- steer smarts tie rod
- steer smarts drag link
- steer smarts track bar
- steer smarts N stabilizer
3. Wheels / tires - this is up to you on what you like, just note anything over 37 is going to come with added needed modifications = more money
4. Re hear + drive lines, when getting bigger tires you need to re gear right away this is not optional like most people say, it maintains power, and protects your transmission and transfer case - drive lines need to be swapped out when lifting a jeep as well, this is non negotiable, the jeep MUST be swapped to double cardan drive lines as the stock ones at the changed pinion angle the boot will pop off allowing the drive line to run dry, it also is damaging to the drive like, the axel, and transmission / transfer case, I personally go with Adam’s drive lines, some other benefits to adding a drive line is they are required for added power, makes a smoother ride on the highway less vibrations, on the trail articulation is far far superior, + stock drive lines will hit a pebble and bend, adams drivelines are much stronger and are far less likely to warp from hitting rocks
5. Breaks, with all this added weight, tire / wheel weight is un sprung weight, meaning a set of 4 35s over stock is the equivalent of reducing your breaking power by the same as carrying 1,500 + pounds in the jeep, depending on what size determines what type you will need, for 37s and smaller teraflex double piston breaks are an affordable option that preforms great
