On the Alaskan cruise we had also no success in connecting to the wifi. My phone worked in most ports but not icy straits which is pretty much in the sticks( beautiful but it seem undeveloped) massages was extremely expensive( about 6 x what a massage in the usa cost)

NCL is doing lots of nickel and dimming, read fine print on all FREE stuff. IMO.

We been doing NCL and love it but our last cruise on the Escape was extremely disappointing. Was unable to book specialty dinner but on the last night walked up to one restaurant and was able to have dinner on the outside not inside. I found that the public bathroom smelt like urine, dirty glasses and dishes laying around (our room stewart kept our room very clean and was quite pleasant). If you were sitting down in the outside lounge areas there was no service you had to go to the bartender order your drink yourself. A lot of closing of restaurants lounges shows and other areas of the ship do to a Irish cruise tour with 800 or more. We never received our reward points for the seven days on this cruise (not that it means anything I would be at the gold level and you know you get a little more perks for each level) I went on my account I wrote to them that I was missing my award points and haven't heard anything after 3 weeks. If we ever do a cruise on NCL it would probably be on Sky or Sun maybe small ships but it just seemed they were cleaner and a great crew that worked on those ships. We are checking to go back on Celebrity and looking at Holland America what they offer.

Does Norwegian Encore offer day passes to the Thermal Spa? I heard they don’t. I bid on a spa balcony but heard they sold out but I will not pay near $400 per person for a weeks pass

Who are all these unhealthy heavy drinkers? If you have more than two drinks per night, you got a serious problem. Combine that with gorging yourself with food constantly morning, noon and night, you people on cruises are 10 minutes from a heart attack.

Seems to me that at least 50% of the idea of going on a cruise is focused on gorging yourself on food. That is extremely hedonistic. And unhealthy.

Have you tried the new Hatsuki on Prima? Was there any differences? Is Onda different also? We’re going on Prima soon. Btw, I always get drink and dining. The free Wi-Fi is enough to pay bills, then I have no use after that. I’m there for experience, memory and culture.

We’re about to leave on a 10 day Mediterranean cruise on the Gem. The gratuities for the free unlimited drink package were over $400. We declined the package and they removed that fee.

I'm scared to bid to upgrade or really upgrade in anyway that wont let me pick where the cabin is located because mid ship and as low as possible is important for my easily seasick tummy. Do you know of a cheaper way to upgrade and still get a mid ship spot? 😅❤

Thank you for the solo cruisers tip. I'm booking through a travel agency and it doesn't look like they offer the solo cabin deal booking through them. Would I need to contact my travel agency to ask about booking a solo cabin or get booked and then upgrade on my own?

Norwegian just cost me $4500. Just got their final decision yesterday.
My great granddaughter didn't have a passport for the NCL cruise from Seward to Vancouver. The NCL agent told us that we didn't need one. My grandson called the NCL 800 number and they said the same thing. I emailed our NCL agent asking that she verify that the great granddaughter didn't need a passport. She never responded to the email and booked the three of them anyways. At checkin the system didn't let them check her in. Ten of us made the trip. My grandson, his wife and their foster child did not make it and NCL has refused to give us our money back. They told me that their insurance would't have covered our situation. Pitiful. Never doing NCL again. Next cruise for me and the wife is in Feb on Viking searching for the Northern Lights.

I would have to disagree with even if you drink a little bit you should get the beverage package. Nope. IF you drink 5 or 6 drinks a day then yes. But many of don't. So if you drink a little bit, don't get the package. Its cheaper to get as you go.

This is my first NCL cruise, with solo accommodations. I'm looking to bid up to a balcony cabin. You mentioned in your Vlog that if its peak season, that possibility might not happen. Please help! I might need you to be my travel agent!!!!!
