I feel bad for Brian after Quagmire just beat him up out of no where, but he did unintentionally rubbed Quagmire the wrong way. Don't get me wrong, he having sex with the father of the person who hates him for a lot of reasons somehow fueled the fire of that hatred. All that could've been avoided if Brian just give up the doing things that caused Quagmire to hate him in the first place to the point he went on a blind rage.

Am I the only one who didn’t find it funny at all when Quagmire was beating up Brian? Did the writers of the episode had any comedic intention for this fight scene outside of Brian’s remark after the fight ended? It didn’t feel like it at all. It was played like a serious moment and it felt serious. I think family guy forgot it was supposed to be a comedic cartoon.
