The young lady he spoke to in I take, and anyone there for a possession charge for that matter, should. NOT be in jail. It is so counterproductive! They need help. Not jail. It’s disgusting. America is an absolute dumpster fire. We need to throw out the whole system and start over.

So sad, some of these women seem like they have some potential. Very sad for the ones that have multiple kids. Cant be easy for the children knowing your mom is a felon, esp a repeat felon. it really messes with the kids heads. But don't let the beauty of some of these women fool you. Some of them are monsters just as much as the men in prison are, and there is a reason why they are there.

I recently was released from Rockville Correctional Facility after serving 7 years and I wish more interviews were done there because that's the harshest of the two facilities..being there gave me the tools I required to change my poor choices and redirect my energy to having more love for myself and others. Theres a lot of compassion shown on these comments and I just wanted to tap in and tell everyone thank you for not being judgmental because these women have shown a tremendous amount of confidence and courage to speak on their crimes and their truth. An update on Pender..she is one of the kindest women Ive known and isn't the manipulator they give her credit for. She Is just extremely smart and she's a legal advisor at Rockville Facility right now. She'll be released soon because of some type of errors found in her court documents and she just married a woman she's been in a relationship with for a while now. That person was released almost two years ago. This interviewer was I'm sure a fresh breath of air to these ladies because prison is a very lonely place that has a way of depleting your heart from joy and grace especially when you lack visits or when people just turn their nose up at you because of what youve been labeled. When a person shows this kind of humanity, it's a reminder that not all people are judging. 90% of poor choices these women made or make i think, stem from drug dependency or their environment not necessarily because their hearts is col..But yea until you've been caught and are serving time, your reality doesn't align with societies expectations.

The thing about a correctional officer helping a female prisoner to escape, and then trying to pin it all on her, is laughable. It has nothing to do with training, human nature is human nature. The training failed, and he was overcome by his nature.

You will never find a correctional officer, or anyone from the prisons, admit they have a weakness. But all the time they try to suggest it was to convict who is at fault, they are too stupid to realize they are admitting weakness.
