WRONG BUY?! LG C2 48" OLED TV - 1 Year Later HONEST Review 2023

I think this tv will be king for a while. I was thinking of the 48 in but now im thinking screw it go for the 83" and move my tv to the kids room

love this tv, its the dopest. Pair it with a 4090 and you flying.

If your hdmi cable is 2.1 certified it’ll give exactly the same performance cheap or not.

I've had this since March I've never loved a tv this much this is perfect for the average gamer/tv watcher

got the 65inch c2evo for under 1500€ ..get jealous folks :D and yeah ... just listen to ppl u go OLED once and u dont go back, its same with high refresh monitors on pc .. u go 240hertz u never go back kinda thing.

tv company should have straight tv mode. wbere we do need apps and shit. i use exteneral devices for that. just want a tv like looks amazing.

your tv is like a cell phone . the longer you use it without restarting it , the slower it works . restart your tv once a while and it should work smooth

I just got the 42” LG C2 for $799 on sale. Was contemplating to get the C3 but went with the C2 on a good bargain. Hope I didn’t make a mistake lol

Quick question I bought a 55 inch C2 display model from PC Richards for $1,504 with the 5 year warranty but it had 3,973 total power on time do u think I should take it back in get a new 1 he telling me I would have to pay the difference which is $152 to get a new one if not he would give me $100 back what you think I should do

I wish SDR gaming was talked about for example with consoles like the Switch and even the PS3 or games that don't have hdr. There's a Con there from what Im hearing from the community.

got the same TV, my mom didn't let me get a bigger one, I think it's great, size ok to me. I had a plasma TV before and this blows it away, but plasma is good too.

How does it handle lower resolution content?

My CX still like brand new no issues, but my Kids using it so i purchased Qn90a almost as good of oled just more brighter.

Mini-Led for gaming can’t risk the burn especially for $3 to 4K tv.

Lots of people still have electronics that need composite and component hook ups..Would be nice if they still added those to tv's..

Bro I need your opinion about this problem that I have 🙏 I recently bought the lg c2 and I watch the movies directly from the apps but when I use the hdmi inputs the brightness is less! (Dolby vision) I have the fire tv stick max and the movies shine less! even using the same image settings. The other is the game mode (HDR) that the image is bright at times and at another automatically lowers the brightness. I have both hdmi inputs in 4k and I turn off the energy saving. Do you think it's a problem with the tv or that loss of brightness that all c2 models have?

Thanks the review, I appreciate it. I was looking between this one and the Samsung QN90B. Looks like this is the better way to go. The only real minus would be between the two on is a 50" and the other a 48". What's the latency like gaming wise?

Going to pull the trigger on the 48" over the 42" only because my desk depth is 39 inches, then mounting two vertical 27 inch monitors on both sides of it for my static images/discord/ webpages I tend to keep paused for reference

At best buy they have the LG c2 42, and 48 inch listed at $899.
Both new and made the same year.
Is the 42 better? I hear the 48" has a different panel.

hey man! you're the first person i've seen using a motorized stand for one of these. i bought my 55" CX refurb and motorized CO-Z stand(wheeled version) 2 years ago now and have been so so happy with the setup. For 4k gaming, a big 16:9 OLED is the best upgrade.

edit: oops i clicked the link and realize now it is not a motorized one... ah, alas i am alone once again!! XD XD

The 48” is 680 at Costco right now, really thinking about pulling the trigger on that tv. It’s 890 everywhere else at the moment

FYI the 42" and 48" are also not as bright as the larger C2 models.

These are really meant to be more for gaming than being a TV. Still, they are awesome TVs.

Of course, I would be hooking up a Roku, AppleTV, or Chromecast w/ Google TV to this computer. I hate WebOS with the fiery passion of 10,000 suns.

Pro-tip: I own a C2 77" and a 48" and I use the Roku Ultra on both TVs, and it makes the #2 and #3 issues you are talking about completely go away.
