Also, are those the MB42x's or the regular MB42's? I noticed they have the sort of black wood grain finish, while my x's have just a sort of plastic finish.

What stereo wire do you use? Is that important at all?

another good set of speakers to try are the new Miccas center channel speakers...would be interesting to know if they are as good as the original micca mb42x

The Dayton SUB-1200 I got to compliment my MB42x's has high level in/out which I'm using but it sends full range from its output. A bit disappointing since that wasn't mentioned in any reviews I read or in the product descriptions on Parts Express or Amazon. It states it in the manual though. "Note: High level outputs are paralleled to the high level inputs with no high pass filter." I'm assuming the SUB-800/1000/1500 models are the same.

try some teac ls h265 speakers, they are highly recomended. by the way which dac would you say its better the emotiva xda2 vrs odac? would be interesting a comparison
