Oh lest I forget, ancestral worship doesn't exist in Africa, we have never worshipped our ancestors. We revere or venerate them, but never worship. The same goes with the relationship that exists between humans and deities... many African spiritualities dont worship deities, they venerate and acknowledge them. Its more transitionary than devotional. "If you give me a child I would sacrifice a goat to you"... that sort of thing. The moment the deity stops doing their bidding, they abandon it and look for a more vibrant deity to "transact" with.

I would suggest that if you want to explore spiritualities and cosmologies far more ancient and primordial than that of the Ethiopians or Egyptians, you should consider looking into the Odinani spirituality of the Igbos in West Africa (Nigeria). As a matter of fact the name Ndi Igbo (which is what the tribe is called) is a derivative of the name Ndi Gboo which means the ancient people. There are stories in their lore that even highlights the shift from primate like species like Apes which is called Adaka gotten from the term Adu-aka (first form of introspective and intelligent life ) to the ndi Aka (the first ones) down to Mmadu from the term Mma-ndu (the fullness and beauty of conscious living). The lore traces the origin of terrestrial life to have emerged from the waters... its a really deep and interesting field to study that even shows that the Kush Kemet spirituality relies heavily on Odinani for its foundation... check it out for yourself

Iorubá religion is a live religion in Brazil in Candomblé, Umbanda and other religions. Some were syncretized with cristianism having entities represented by Christian saints (because of prohibition of slave religions). These religions have hundreds of thousands maybe even some millions of adepts today. These Ioruba entities are popular in the sense every Brazilian knows about them. The winner of Rio de Janeiro carnival parade last year had Exú as it's theme. I am very curious about these entities real associations with some indo European entities. The only issue I have is that you did not specify that many of the pictures are AI generated and not actual depictions from the religions history or pictures of the practitioners. I believe this is very significant and should be mentioned since many people are here to learn and may not have any knowledge of what you are sharing. Also you depicted the god Mahrem of Ethiopian religion as a goat and I do not believe that is an accurate depiction or part of their religious belief. Point of correction, Africans do not worship ancestors. Ancestors are more like messengers between humans and the creator through prayer that's why we give praise to our ancestors for being our guardians, protectors and messengers. I'm a traditional healer from the Xhosa tribe in South Africa and my job is to connect humans with their ancestors and this is a simplified way of communicating things since some don't understand the message in their sleep.
