ОтветитьGlass blunts the knives
ОтветитьYes. A video of the expenses for the year. . Would be very interesting!!! Could there be a comparison from London & your residence in Wales.
ОтветитьGreat blog as, thanks for all your time.. Peaceful Christmas to you..
ОтветитьThanks for the vlogmas. And thank you for the second channel. I've really enjoyed seeing your older garden plots and every else's too.
Ответитьlove too good to waist
ОтветитьGood luck finding your new car Sean. Your videos helped me get through a rough year. Happy new year.
ОтветитьFuming you could of come to my house I only live treorchy. We met in the pet shop the other week. I got my hubby a drone for Christmas you could of advised him. In the Rhondda if you look you're never living alone
ОтветитьOXO best ever speed peeler 10quid but will last for ever
ОтветитьBoxing Day was apparently named after (Victorian?) rich folk who gave a boxed gift to their domestic staff the day after Christmas. I always thought it was named after boxing tournaments held on village greens in days gone by - but I was wrong. Happy Christmas Sean.
ОтветитьDo not buy a glass cutting board. You will get glass shavings in your food. Same with plastic. Wood is best. Keep your knives sharp and they will not dig into the wood. You can also sand down the wooden boards if they are in rough shape.
ОтветитьI shudder when I think if there was a camera on me when cooking Christmas dinner. The results are perfect but the lead up is chaos! Well done Sean and happy Christmas. You are so chilled.
ОтветитьAll the best sean it's been a pleasure to watch you over the past year .have a wonderful Xmas dinner with your friends and look forward to were 2025 takes you on your adventures ..❤
ОтветитьMerry Christmas Sean,Amber & Topsy 🎄🍾🎉from me and my four dogsElla,Louie,Amber & Lagertha 🐶🐈
ОтветитьYou can cook the cauliflower leaves with the florets. Just like cabbage!
ОтветитьThis custom is linked to an older British tradition in which the servants of the wealthy were allowed the next day to visit their families since they would have had to serve their masters on Christmas Day. The employers would give each servant a box to take home containing gifts, bonuses, and sometimes leftover food.
ОтветитьMerry Christmas Sean great to see your vlogs over Christmas
ОтветитьExactly what I cooked today , was lovely turkey, theres only 2 of us, I just cooked it for 2 hrs on 180 fan oven, cooked just right
ОтветитьBelated Christmas greetings Sean, all the best

ОтветитьMerry Christmas Sean! Thank you for all the videos u put out🙏 I have been following u for many years & it has been a very special part of my everyday life. Stay blessed always ❤️
ОтветитьMerry Christmas :)
Glad your parcel arrived :)
The gingerbread biscuits are definately for humans :) I thought you (& maybe any guest(s) may like them with a cuppa :) the tin is also a christmas tree decoration.
Glad Amber & Topsy liked the lick-e-lix treats, turkey & cranberry, flavour. Stops them trying to steal any turkey, which isn't good if you have any onion (or leek) near it.
Hope the cookbook is super useful, ideal to batch cook, or pop it on before going down the homestead.
I've been flat out working ... needed a snooze between the morning / lunch round, and the afternoon / evening rounds.
Same again for the rest of the week ...
I used to write out the plan for the cooking times on xmas eve, (working backwards from the serving time) once the tree is up (& before Drinking too much!). I'd then prep all the veg, whilst listening to the xmas music, before going to bed. My first boyfriend's Mum used to do this, it is a sanity that has served me well. I have still her "go to" tips written out, next to the roast christmas turkey page in my (Dehila's) cookbook.
The year I didn't, it was a bit of a disaster, but then it had been disasterous on the run up, so much so, I hadn't even got the turkey, ended up with a frozen one & trying to defrost it with the hairdryer (Not a recommended method! btw).
Have a fabulous Boxing day, with you friend :)
Hi .you must use the green leaves .with the white of the cauliflower. It's the best way ..andyou could put the ..parsnips and pots in the oven .THE SAME TIME AS YOUR TURKEY ,HAPPY XMAS X
ОтветитьI brought my turkey crown from Iceland, defrosted it or you can cook from frozen. It took about 1.5 hours. Everyone enjoyed it
ОтветитьGreat vlog sean and a happy christmas
ОтветитьIf you have left over cooked veggies...drain the water off..put in freezer bag..squeeze out air.or dip in big bowl of water to squeeze out air...mix all kinds of veggys...use later to add last to a quick soup...bone broth..add beef or chicken, Turkey..noodles or rice..cook noodles or rice, last add veggies out of freezer as needed... just heat and eat if you want soup thick like stew add a tsp. Flour. Add one more tsp if not enough...quick meal...
ОтветитьI wouldn't get a glass chopping board, mate. Glass makes blades go dull and blunt very quickly. Wood can start to absorb flavours, oils and juices after a while, which isn't great. I use professional industry standard colour coded plastic ones. They are not cheap though. The cheap plastic ones are not very good. Also, I am like you for mint sauce. I love the stuff and my nan taught my mother to prepare it exactly the same way as you do it, so I do it that way too.
ОтветитьMerry Christmas Sean and a very happy New year 🎄
ОтветитьHappy Christmas Sean, ow many were you cooking for ? make more room on plates by putting veg in serving dishes if you have some,
ОтветитьYou don't need to worry about eating carrots Sean. They are considered low carb.
ОтветитьI found your channel in 2024 and so glad I did. Merry Christmas!
ОтветитьHAPPY CHRISTMAS! We eat when ever its ready, usually 5-7 pm. We do somethings the day before, maybe a dessert.❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьI have a handmade wooden cutting board that is 55 years old, no problems. I tossed the plastic ones when I read how bad they are. They were showing so much wear after just a few years. ❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьGlass dulls your knives 🇨🇦🙂
ОтветитьHi Sean, I have been watching your vlogs for about a year and quite enjoying your sharing of your daily life and your sweet cats, l have 4. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. God bless. 🇨🇦
ОтветитьUse the leaves in soup stock. Goes well with chicken or beef , celery, carrots , a bit of leek .. and noodles at the end in the pot..
How does lack of root veg or any other kind keep you from alcohol??? Eating more may do so.. I'm a meat and potatoes person but more veg keeps me healthier, not boozing it.. wine or liquor. LOL
You'll have to have a dabble at making your own wine Sean. My dad used to make all sorts and I'm told that it was pretty potent! We kids used to pick hips, dandelions, blackberries and he grew parsnips. The possibilities are endless - a dying art maybe?
ОтветитьCutting boards:
Glass: Quickly blunt your knives.
Plastic: Who wants to ingest plastic
Wood: Extra fibre (It's what they put in shredded cheese for anti-clumping)
Good to see you having a few jars. Have a good christmas!
ОтветитьMerry Christmas 🎄🎄
ОтветитьMerry Christmas, Sean! Thanks for sharing Wales with us. Thanks for everything.
ОтветитьI am in Adelaide Australia and its boxing day here and watching the cricket, I was up early this morning to watch Gavin and Stacey via my VPN, I won't say anything, then I watched Eastenders (which I haven't watched in years), I have a wooden chopping board but also a hard plastic one as well, I wouldn't get a glass one could fall off and break on the floor. My family love Yorkshire Pudddings with any roasts so we had them as well for Christmas Day, I am the only one that can make them, (Jamie Oliver way). what about Peas and Onion in a bowl we grew up in Splott my mothers always had the Processed peas cold.Don't forget the Pigs in Blankets.
ОтветитьMerry Xmas and. Happy new year 🎉 glass chopping boards will blunt your knives just oil your wooden ones my dad was a butcher hence the knowledge 😅
ОтветитьGood morning Sean, enjoyed your videos very much. All the. Best of wishes to you and your supporters world wide. Look forward to your 2025 Videos full of good tips and humour and the occasional song and sight seeing tours.
" Beautiful " 👍💚🌹🎉
Hope you had a nice day
