I think I know why, they focused more on the DLC, the creativity of the game and everything surrounding the open worlds. so they didn't take care of the details. and perhaps to make everything easier too

Sims2 is my childhood, when I was in primary school, my favorite thing was to turn on my PS2 and play Sims2 after finishing my homework. Although I was too young at that time and didn't know the conditions that needed to be fulfilled for the game to pass, I never passed the game, but just operating the characters to experience all kinds of life in the story mode made me feel very happy, and Sims2 will never be able to be replaced in my heart.😭❤

Seems to me like Sims 4 devs were scared of the technical blunders of Sims 3 and made everything a stripped-down version of what came before.

I agree. The sims 2 is superior to all other sims games. Gameplay is simple, graphics have aged well and game looks great but it doesn’t need as much space and it loads pretty quickly. The sims 4 has few good things but it’s way too complicated to be as enjoyable. 🤔

Sims 4 feels like I'm playing with barbie dolls. Of course I did that as a kid so it's not so borning for me. But I wish they would use some mechanics from earlier games.

Cancel Sims 5 and just remaster Sims 2. If they remaster it and make it open world, easy money.

It's not too complicated, if you are only interested in "building" or if you just want to do some challenge and some random dumb shit with good graphics, without need to worry that you will ended up wasting several of hours, go with the Sims 4, if you are looking for a true life simulation game with a lot of interaction, go with the Sims 2, if you want a true life simulation game with more immersive world with some touch of reality go with the 3.
All the Sims game have its own strength:
The Sims 2: Variety of Interactions and the sims(even a townies) are actually feels alive.
The Sims 3: Has a really immersive world that just make you feels like getting sucked into it.
The Sims 4: Doesn't make you feel bad for pirating it.

Sims 4 is confusing to me, that's why I don't play sims 4 at all.

The Sims was so ahead of it's time and everything was very intricate, I really enjoyed going back to it after years, and I still have fun and find myself playing for hours, the amount of love and care the creators had for this game is truly amazing.

Funny how you all never compare the sims 2 and the sims 3 together probally because you all know the sims 2 will win against the sims 3 that's why you all can only compare them to the sims 4

I can’t get over how in thesims4 they’re always smiling or happy it just feels so fake and stale. in thesims2 they feel so real. It’s the little imperfections that gives it so much life, heck even the scooting in chair gives it that realness I love

F i got to get me some of that sims 2 GARGEL feature and its a matter of life and deaht if i cant get my do it yourself toothpaste on brush ITS A MAKE OR BREAK situation..... ARE PEOPLE ILL in the head???!!! Gems were floppy disc 1mb large now games are GB and more important features i used. OFCOURSE there was no real innovation back then so they had to put all their eggs into these smalll animations COZ THAT ALL it has going for itself still looking like a donkey's ass and i mean honestly YOU HAVE TO HAVE THAT CHECK YOUR TEEH FEATURE THAT DESPERATELY a money decided whether or not you going to purchase a game?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The worse part is that the Sims 4 always have this goofy ass face on them, no matter what they do. This amongst other things (childish stupid animations while doing mundane things like cooking or hugging, for example), participates in the feeling of playing with dolls. It might not seem like a big deal but to me Sims 2 feels more mature. It feels like no bullshit ,whilst retaining child stuff and jokes in it. Sims 4 completely misses the mark and thinks its funny with its heavy badly handled jokes and references to things it doesn't understand. I don't care if we keep shitting on sims 4 and praising sims 2 and if it's a trend, it's true. Sims 2 is just superior despite being older.

I've been playing The Sims 2 and 3 lately as I went to 4. Compared to these two (The Sims 2 being the best imo but still love 3) between those two games are much more lively and expandable than the Sims 4 is. Sims 4 just feels so boring, unlively and uninspiring the longer I play it. Every expansion they release is just an L after L by how buggy and unfinished they are. This series is doomed I feel. But good thing other life simulation games are slowly trickling into the market.

Three words : Open for business
