STOICISM | How Epictetus Keeps Calm

I don't know man, I think it was easier to keep a calm mind 2000 years back when not everyone was focussed on whether you succeed or not. Nowadays it's not easy being a stoic. plus people are so rude and toxic nowadays that I'm barely keeping myself from hurting them.

the video admits death is inevitable and I believe the 'pandemic' was obviously a farce. these two things designate nonchalance as the appropriate attitude in accordance with nature.

Just found out my wages are cut almost in half, this video helped a little. I guess hard choises are in my future, better stay calm so I make the right ones.

The covid part of this didn’t age well with what we know about the pandemic and that “being tough” was just intuition telling us we are fine without outside interventions to protect us…

I've been into philosophy for years and I've wanted to end it all for years but you know what start enjoying your life! F everyone else and everything else don't impress anyone but yourself 🤍❤

Just for that abnormalities of mine, I've been labeled as such "weird" or/and "strange". For reasons unknown, I'm quite insensitive to the feelings of others, I didn't get the jokes that others tried to tell, and I feel no emotion even when someone is being injured in front of me. I just stood there doing nothing but stare. I forced myself to blend in normally like what everyone does. Is that still called "stoicism"? Just wondering...

Bro your cideos are pure gold. They really helped me reduce my sufferingore than 7 years of therapy. Bc they lay the foundation for creating a calm and peaceful mind. Thx bro for real.especially right now that i have to deal with a pretty shitty long term illness and a lot of stupid unempathetic people at the insurance companies it kinda gives me peace of mind and a calm temper despite the difficulties.
