I’m trying to determine if I have a hernia or severely torn abdomen muscle. I’ve had it for months. I’ve been to 2 doctors for a hernia check and neither really feels one. Is the muscle issue you are referencing possible to have for months and months?

ОтветитьI find that I’m kinda ok with running… the pubic bone area and adductors kinda ache if I do pro longed inclines. Say level 10 incline. Speed of 5-5.5 for 30 minutes or so. Why would incline walking cause a flare up? Tightness? Thanks

ОтветитьI do not understand why I developed this as a runner when I’ve been on top of my planking for years - made it to 15 min plank at one point - but last year at least 5 min plank x3 weekly and side planks (90 secs) also x 3 weekly… 🤷♂️

ОтветитьI'm glad she mentioned child birth. This is the only thing that I can think that caused my pain. I also have a broken tail bone and sciatica nerve pain. I could not walk for months and bedridden. I had a total hysterectomy since the uterus is a muscle. This helped alot but I still have pain on my left side and I can tell stress makes it worse. I have had the muscles on the left side numbed, not sure what this procedure is but it included a long needle. This helped but didn't last. Hope some gets some help from my comment.

ОтветитьI tore my groin tendon near the pelvis pretty bad. After 8 weeks off Ju-jitsu training I’m now getting growing pain in my lower stomach. This video has diagnosed me. Looks like I need to rest for awhile.

ОтветитьI believe I have developed a abdominal tendonpathy on my right side. Around 3 months ago I had an MRI which diagnosed Osteitis Pubis in my left side. I was referred for an injection which someone helped. But very soon after getting back into exercise I had pain in my right abs. It has stopped the progress of the OP and left me back at a stage of no running.
I love your videos but was wondering with these kinds of basic exercises, is there a length of time you would do them for ? For example do them 2/3 times for a week and then increase the time of the isometrics every week. Once the area is pain free from 3x1 minute, then move onto the crunches etc progressing each week.

ОтветитьEvery other day do the following: Knee plank 3 x 45-60 seconds, Modified Hollow hold 3 x 30-60 seconds, Anti-Rotation Plank level1 3 x 30 - 60 seconds. The key is to do static holds isolating the abdominals, I would also ice for 20 minutes twice a day and supplemented with a protein shake once a day to aid muscle recovery.
I had 6 months of pain, multiple doctor and physio appointments with no help. I found this video which helped me diagnose myself and then I did the the above exercises which gave me huge improvements in just 2 weeks. I wish anyone else suffering a speedy recovery.
I over stretched playing football and ended up with a grion pain, that hurt in my testicles, my abs, straight across the line of my hip crest, and the base of my glutes. It's such an annoying feeling. I actually feel like I have a bulge that I'm sitting on
ОтветитьFantastic video. I think the ab tend is a correct diagnosis for me. Pain in crease when I sneeze and it probably happened playing ice hockey. I can do the first two exercises. The 3rd one creates a little pain to the right of my belly button. My pain in general is from right crease and up to right of belly button. I hiked today - couldn’t resist - won’t play hockey tonight. Biking causes minor, minor discomfort- practically nothing. I take a break from your exercises tomorrow. Thanks again and let me know if you think I can benefit from a one on one. I hope to play ice hockey next week - will have been about 3 week break I think.

Do you think this problem apply to my situation who work as solo cleaner, works for 12 hours a day. I don’t have the pain every day however, it’s bothersome bc i’m post menopausal and I feel like I’m about to have period sensation. Thank you in advance.

So I’m wondering if this is what has happened to me. I was on the leg press and failed the last rep. When the weight came down it felt like somthing had tore open in my hip flexor area/ pubic area. But there is no pain in the hip flexor area. I feel it in my lower abdomen. Specifically when I try to do a side lunge. I don’t want to self diagnose myself but this seems like it is it. Idk what I need to do.

ОтветитьI'm 66 and started race walking technique a few months ago. It's called the wiggle walk for a reason - you're raising each hip to put one foot in front of the other in a straight line. That's a type of twisting move, no? About 2-3 months after I started practicing this technique, my lower abs started getting so painful, yet I tried to push through with regular power walking and jogging. Bad idea. Any forward motion causes pain, so I can't take my regular walks for a while. It's funny, because I can do calisthenics and aerobic dance moves at home and I can use the stair master at the gym with no pain whatsoever. But as soon as I start walking fast, my lower abs start hurting. I tried the exercises shown here, but they aggravated the pain and made it worse. I really did a number on myself, creating a lot of inflammation. I've abstained from walking & jogging for about 4 weeks now and I really want this to resolve permanently.

ОтветитьGeez. This is so accurate. Getting out of bed, coughing, laughing all were crazy painful, running was not even an option. Switching to bike yelped a lot to keep moving. Hockey injury btw
