I could tell him what to do like getting a bull off the mountain and bring him to the corrals. if Jack could see my hand signals or whistles he would do the action. I miss him. more loyal than my wife.

Bulls are my favorite

In Ireland, my dad said the used small dogs for moving cattle to the fairway, not sheepdogs, so I'm suprised by this. The smaller dogs would snap at the heels of the cows and avoid the kicks. They keep the sheepdog at home that day incase she got a bad kick. Dog was (still is) the most important animal on the farm, horses weren't affordable so we had asses( donkeys) instead. Smarter than horses anyways.

Too dangerous for dogs.

There is no reason for dogs to be herding these animals. How many dogs die doing this is what I wanna know. Do you know how easy it would be to lure them in with food? Easier & safer then this. Ik they herd animals but dnt need to herd dangerous animals in enclosed spaces.. "accidents" can still happen just cause their good at their job.
