Canon R50 Beginners Guide - How-To Use Camera Step By Step

Hi great video very informative I am looking at buying one of these cameras, but can you do a video just on its video recording options, I need more info in this area as I wish to do better videos than what my phone does. I need to know how to manual focus that does not change during filming like when a glass shield moves during videoing the camera wont focus on the glass instead of what’s behind it like I want , remote start and stop recording to mention a few, I do tripod recording so basically a detailed video on video recording with the Cannon EOS R50 I hope this is possible it would help me so very much as I am a beginner in video and still photography I hope you can help

Jay, YOU SHOULD DO THIS SAME VIDEO but in FULL MANUAL MODE.....Just sayin'

Ok. So I can use some help. Metering mode shows no feedback at all when I adjust exposure even if it’s dark or overexposed. The pin under the metering mode is not there and of course doesn’t show at all in the negative or positive. Even when I purposely under or overexpos. Only when iso is set at auto will a pin appear under the level center point.

Wonderful video. Just picked up my R50, it came with a 18-45 lens. I will be watching this video a few times but would like to know settings would be appropriate for very dark settings? I often go to zoos, aquariums etc. I actually tested my new camera at a local zoo. The inside aquariums don’t allow flash. Also, the aquarium glass is not always clean enough for a good picture. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Thank you so much! I just received my camera yesterday and had no prior knowledge of cameras until today. The other videos had me lost after three minutes.

Very helpful thank you, I'm learning to take night photos and video of rocket launches from Cape Canaveral using an R50 and the RF100-400. These are one and done so when things don't go well do-over's aren't possible. The problem is it's the dead of night the target is 10 miles away the launch pad tower sometimes obscures the rocket and I have to have settings sort of predict the flight and the flash of the launch. It's probably a lot like fireworks and a totally black environment. Focus is a huge problem, do you have any settings recommendations to help me maintain focus throughout the flight. This is usually about 2 minutes. By the time it reaches 1600 mph its going out of sight. Thanks again Robert

When I change settings in P mode - for example white balance or exposure, when does the camera revert back to the automatic parameters. In other words, when does the camera take over everything automatically for a good photo. Do I have to “reset” anything to have the camera optimize the next photo again?

I’m aware of it not having headphone jacks so does anyone know if I could use some kind of adapter to use headphones? Also I tried using a shotgun mic and when I play it back on my camera I just hear radio sounds but when I import the file onto my computer or phone, the audio is there. Anyone know the solution to this? I have a feeling it’s the cable I used for the mic because I was able to hear my audio in the playback when I test another microphone that has a built in plug.

How to added luts into the camera

Everybody will get mad now for what i will say but i bought Canon R50 with RF50mm lens for casual photography. To be honest picture quality compare to my S25 ultra smarthpone photos is nothing special. Maybe if i get better and get more knowlegde about phothography it will get different but for now spending so much extra money on camera (not to mention additional lenses) is foolish and waste of money unless you want to become pro photographer and go in that dorection.
