Very nice turning Al...! Question...Were you happy with the finish when using the epoxy and glitter this time? May you have a great safe day and an enjoyable weekend my friend....!
ОтветитьWOW! Ingenious! You're imagination has no limits. Another stunning piece.....
ОтветитьIt turned out great Al, nice job!
Ответитьanother great job and wise words thanks
ОтветитьExcellent video Al .
ОтветитьReally nice and unusual. Makes for a great shape. You have a great imagination.
ОтветитьThose memory cards are always messing us up!! Haha good work again. Nice piece from that wood i would say!
Ответитьas usual al, a great piece. i just cut a big sweet gum in my yard. got sweet gum coming out the ying yang lol
ОтветитьIt's amazing what can be found in a piece of wood. Very nice turn, Al. Next time turn a "hangover bowl".
Lee
Very nice piece Al.
ОтветитьBeautiful work I like the colors.
ОтветитьGreat job Al, beautiful piece😆
ОтветитьVery pretty I like the colors in the wood. Very interesting piece.
ОтветитьWhat about a small droop over lid? Might be interesting if it could be done. Great piece.
ОтветитьIt is like you have said so often, "follow the woood" or something like that, meening that the wood always has somthing to say for it self about the form you end up with. A beautiful work Al. Regards, Jùlíus
ОтветитьI've seen you take a rag with finish on it and get into small places. so why no finish under the droop? BTW it is more of a droop hollow vessel, right?
ОтветитьI like the blotchy brown patches . They give it some character . Great job Al , take care.
ОтветитьAnother lovely piece Mr Furtado, I love the character and colour of that wood!
ОтветитьVery nice, as usual.
ОтветитьAl I like the droop over, I think the lid ebonized would look sharp.
ОтветитьRealistic
ОтветитьThanks Al that's a very unusual piece of wood and a very pretty droop bowl
ОтветитьCool piece Al. Looks like something from a Hobbit house . I mean that in a good way. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьBeautiful I would love a bowl made like that
ОтветитьVery pretty piece of wood. I hope to be able to find wood as you do when I move to Florida. Have you tried any of the ball sanders to get under the droop over.
ОтветитьGood job
ОтветитьExcellent, very nice...
Cheers...
Really cool! Never seen anything like that! (~_^)-b
ОтветитьA cool piece. Now I'm eyeing my mango tree in my back yard. If it doesn't bear fruit this year....
ОтветитьI don't know what I enjoy more Al, your turnings, or the birds singing outside your shop.
ОтветитьHi Al,,,
Another beautiful turning and being that I am working on my very first bowl,,,something like this is way down the road for me!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with all of us!
Tom
A different and beautiful looking piece Al.
Cheers
Mike
Al, another great project. A very interesting piece of wood. I agree with you that the top center could have been shifted over a bit to make the droop more symmetrical but I like what you came up with. Your commentary during the process it very good. It's nice to know your thinking about where the piece is going. I also like your camera work with the exception of your opening and closing shots. I think you are standing a bit too close to the camera. When you hold up the work piece to the camera it totally fills the screen. That makes it hard to really visualize what the piece looks like. Please step back a foot or so for those shots. As for the rest of the camera work it is excellent. Keep up the good work.
ОтветитьI like this one a lot Al. The "colouring" really shows it off. The lid ? Works for me, as you said, with or without. I did one last year after watching you turn one, from spalted beech & over the months the colours have really changed. Have to agree with the sanding, I had to be very careful but all in all it was a great experience.
All the best my friend from the UK 🇬🇧.
Al is the sweet gum eucalyptus variety or something local your area. It certainly has a variety of colour changes which come up very well Marvellous piece again Doug
Ответитьlove the piece, but something caught my eye. Dad has a jigsaw like the one behind you in the video as you show the piece before you started the mango limb, and needs to find a head for it. his is a Rockwell, do you have any places we can look?
ОтветитьI am not a woodturner but addictive how you work with passion. 🤗 great job and of-course we all have our talent but I really enjoy your love for each piece of wood.
ОтветитьI've become so accustomed to watching your video, I would hate to see "witness" you getting injured. The lid is fantastic and suited to re proportions of the vase. Regards Henk PS you can ship that off to me in South Africa.
ОтветитьThumbs up!!!
Clark
Fantastic piece Al. Nice depth of character.
