How about roasted almonds? We're over here in India ( from OH) and here ppl soak almonds overnight in water and eat like that saying most nutritious this way.
ОтветитьWe need it thanks so much ❤
ОтветитьAlso blueberries strawberries pineapple are excellent for breakfast
ОтветитьTurmeric should be number 1 anti inflammatory medicine in its purest form. I didn’t hear you mention turmeric in your vegetables.
ОтветитьSo glad I found you! I will be adding more fruit and veggies. And doing you videos.
ОтветитьHi. Many thanks for this video, which is great. Im a vegetarian, so fish is a no-no. I do use flax seed oul, which is rich in omega 3. Is that a good substitute for fish. I do everything else. Keeping muscles strong is very important too. My experience over several years has demonstrated that to me many times over
ОтветитьGreat advice, l don't get any joint pain but like the anti-inflammatory diet.
ОтветитьPeople don’t already know this or do the research themselves blows my mind. I knew this stuff 30 years ago.
ОтветитьI have found that it is more important to avoid foods that cause inflammation eg. sugar, tomatoes, potatoes , and beef and eat healthy diet.
ОтветитьOk. I drink one coffee a day. I eat beans and lentils. Plenty of fresh veg. I dont eat fish because the sight of nets full of fish gasping as the fight for life on decks of fishing boats just appalls me. Home cooked food. Home made wholemeal bread. So why have I got arthritis at all? Why did my mother have really bad arthritis? Why do so many of the Spanish ladies in their 60s and 70s in my vilkage suffer from arthritis. After eating a mediterranean diet all their lives. Cooked in olive oil.
Go on. Explain someone.
Oh. Could it be something to do with hard physical work all their lives. And ditto for me.
(Ps kale is disgusting.)
I dont think our neolithic ancestors had yogurt or beans with their meat and fish. But probably had leaves and herbs to season their stews. But the women who did the grinding of grass seeds for flour had arthritis in their ankles. But very strong arms. 😅
ОтветитьMake yourself yogourt very easy .
ОтветитьDark leafy greens are high in oxalate which is a trigger for inflammation. A British GP did research on this and helped her fibromyalgia by limiting high oxalate foods.
ОтветитьGreat information,thank you
ОтветитьActually I've reduced overall inflammation, and knee arthritis pain by following a very low carb diet. It has also allowed me put type2d in remission. Its not for everyone asit requires significant lifestyle mod but its saved quality of life.
ОтветитьI've been eating all of these foods on a regular basis long before my osteoarthritis started and I still do but it hasn't helped a bit.😢
ОтветитьI thought vegetables from the nightshade family are not good for arthritis as they promote inflammation. Is this a fact or myth?
ОтветитьHey Alyssa, would cottage cheese be an ok substitute for yogurt?
ОтветитьWhat about purple leafy salads? Are those good for inflammation?
ОтветитьThank you for giving advice to avoid knee replacement. Everything that makes life enjoyable requires movement.
ОтветитьAs a vegan who can't have caffeine, there are only about 4 or 5 left. 😉 I do use the ones I'm able to eat/drink, except citrus, just because I don't like the ones we get here (as they don't grow here...and once you've had some fresh off a tree, you can never go back to out of area store bought). I do find that sugar causes a lot of inflammation, and I do have a sweet tooth ...so that is my biggest struggle.
ОтветитьDo you have a video on which foods cause inflammation?
ОтветитьAre you a Registered Dietitian ?
ОтветитьSo helpful! Thanks!!
ОтветитьThank you for the valuable information you are sharing with us.😊❤

ОтветитьThank you for your advices...but...🤔🙄yogurt??? dairy products maintain inflammation!😱
ОтветитьY ou could add herbs and spices to your thick Greek yogurt and dip your veggies in that.
ОтветитьHi Alyssa,
Your advice on dealing with arthritis is so helpful. I have bone on bone arthritis. However, I have been doing your exercises and I have been seeing such great progress. I just want to say many, many thanks in educating persons with such conditions. I am very grateful. Keep up the good work.
I love cashews, walnuts, Brazil nuts, & pecans. I grind them up & sprinkle them on my salads because I can't eat them whole anymore. I don't have any upper teeth & dentures don't fit because I don't have enough bone for the dentures to cling to. I can't afford implants since my insurance won't pay for a whole row of teeth. I subscribed just now.
ОтветитьI hv uric acid n AO. So i take tart cherry n bromelain. Because if my uric acid i cannot take beans n nuts n meat n also quite a lot of veg.
ОтветитьDo you have a video of foods to avoid? I was just diagnosed with arthritis in my right hand, knees, and hips. The right hand now is just killing me. My ring finger is so tight and painful when I bend it, if I didn’t know better, I would think I had injured it in some way. And I never had issues with that finger. I’m trying to best maneuver my way through this because it’s new to me. It honestly seems like it came on me suddenly. My hip is the other issue. My knees, I can seem to manage…I do follow several PT’s online for exercises. It helps. Thanks again.
ОтветитьAPPRECIATE YOUR VIDEOS 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤️❤️❤️🇭🇲🦘🇭🇲🦘🇭🇲
ОтветитьThankyou so much for this!! I Just went to a Rheumatologist and I finally was diagnosed with Psoriatic arthritis that caused my grade 4 right hip osteoarthritis. For the first time at work I could walk pretty well after 2 years of tilting and limping. I'm on meds for 2 weeks, but am starting now on your list of foods.I prefer natural treatments, been doing your exercise too.. again thankyou!!
ОтветитьThank you, Alyssa your videos have really motivated me.😊
ОтветитьI think that Alyssa is on the cusp of becoming a national treasure. The best presentation and tips I have found although many others are helpful Thanks, A.K.!
ОтветитьI'm vegetarian so fish isn't an option. Can't stand the smell of it either. Yoghurt, yes. Coloured vegetables, lentils, beans, definitely.
Ответитьsardines, much less expensive.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьDoes extra virgin olive oil have a strong flavor? When used in cooking or for salad dressings?
ОтветитьThank you for the tips on diet and reducing inflammation!
ОтветитьRecommended your channel to a friend with knee pain because you are helpful, knowledgeable and nice.
ОтветитьVery good 👍🙏💕
ОтветитьThank you for sharing
ОтветитьHow about goat milk yogurt?
ОтветитьI will be adding these items to my diet.
