A short video showing the correct way to load film into a bottom load Barnack style camera. This works for any of the Leica clone models as well. Note the picture on the inside of the camera shows the leader trimmed exactly like I have done in this video as I am loading the film + spool into it.

I know people try to load these sticking their finger through the shutter on the T setting or using a credit/business card but that's risking damage to the camera shutter and is not how Leica designed these to be loaded!

Years ago all film came precut with these longer leaders, but as SLR cameras became popular, they shortened the leaders to work better with "Modern" cameras. An M Leica doesn't require the leader to be trimmed as the back opens up to aid loading them.
