Eric, thank-you for your clear instruction of how to rend light. By demoing the same scene side-by-side under 2 different light conditions it was by far the best explanation of the nuanced techniques I have watched. Also, in the sunset version, your approach to save the over worked steam by glazed over the sky at the point in the 3rd layer when the paper is almost dry, is an invaluable lesson.
ОтветитьThank you!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼♥️♥️♥️
ОтветитьThanks for keeping the photo references handy while you work!
ОтветитьAwesome

ОтветитьHi Eric, thank you for showing this two different versions! That was really interesting. I have another question: I saw in your Insta the wonderful painting of the young lady you did with procreate. It would be nice if you can show this painting process also in your yt channel. To add a nft for the painting is easy or difficult? Greatings from Germany Angelika
ОтветитьThank you Eric,
You're explanation was very helpful.
Very useful, as always. You’re a very good teacher! And your pun cheered me up, and we all need it. 😊

ОтветитьThank you very much for this very useful tipps. One thing I 'd like to mention: as in the sunset picture the light is shining from down behind the train the steam should be lighter beliw and much darker in the upper part, I mean? Love your tutorials 🌺🌈

ОтветитьThe smoke in the sunset painting came together like magic. Amazing
ОтветитьGreat video, many thanks!
Ответить"Just because something is lit by the sun doesn't mean it has a light value." I have struggled with this for over two decades and that simple statement suddenly made it click. Thank you.
ОтветитьAmazing tips. I do put too many details early. Was nice to see u keep it very simple. Question for you, is there an app or software that can turn a picture into 3 shades of grey, so we can better visualize what would be highlights, mid and darker tones.
ОтветитьI bought your course and I love it! Please help me paint seagulls
ОтветитьI've heard values explained before but this is just so good!! I had a real light bulb moment watching this! 🤯

ОтветитьHi Eric.
This is very informative and thoughtful.
I wonder why it is so important to “always connect your middle values”? Any insight you could share? Or a video where you explain why it is so important? Thank you. This is beautiful.
Pretty painting.
ОтветитьPainting is not just about displaying the end result but also the journey and thought process behind it.
ОтветитьLol… your a dad!!! 😂

ОтветитьColours for the train in the morning?
ОтветитьVery important to think about light and shadow. Watercolor will always be a mystery but these tutorials uncover it slowly.
