Yes please a crop update would be very cool.i love seeing the crops growing
ОтветитьWith another truck maybe Ryan could get Hannah to drive on her days off or if get home in time or if nothing else park 1 truck and fill it up and when Ryan gets back park the truck he had and leave with the other one.
Ответитьstand them on end two wide and roll a tarp over them.
ОтветитьShame your not closer to Texas you could sale every bale you made right now.
Ответить👍👍
ОтветитьJust get another semi trailer and do a drop and hook put disc blades under the jacks. We do allot of that in California one trucker has one truck four trailers he just leaves them at the field and only takes the loaded ones. He goes 30 miles or more one way or round trip
Ответить✔👍👍🤠👍
ОтветитьThank you for sharing Travis, your explanations are always educational, I am learning a lot .
ОтветитьYes on a row crop update. Valley is looking good.
In re your hay storage dilemma: Out in eastern Washington, around Ellensburg, it's common to see huge stacks of large square baled hay that are tarped. Is outdoor storage (up on dunnage) and tarping to keep the rain off not an effective method for dry hay storage there in WI? Is it a condensation problem on the inside of the tarp? Relative to a building, I'd think this was pretty inexpensive way to store hay.
Travis
You would be farther ahead to wrap your bales.
You will always know quality of your product And get top dollar forit.
I for one would like to see your planter updates and installation
ОтветитьWe need hay in oklahoma and Texas good 👍 job man
ОтветитьIt's like a sod farm after it's all cleared off.
ОтветитьLook into a low cost lean too addition on one of the buildings. Or large canvas tarps? PVC hoop style greenhouse type structure?
ОтветитьCan you link the carts together?
ОтветитьLooking good!
Ответить20 years ago we stacked the bales outside in a pyramid 3-2-1 on pallets and we bought tarps that were made for that stack ,I think they were 25 foot by 50 foot with eyelets or loops on the two 50 foot sides that you could put a pipe through and tarp wench it to the pallets on each side ,had to retighen the wenches once in a while so the wind did not get under it,sometimes we would store it till the next summer with no spoilage ,when we were done we stored in a mouseless place and it lasted several years,I have seen these advertised in farm magazines recently
ОтветитьWhen I have the problem of too much hay. I stack it 3 high pyramid. End to end and tarp it. When it’s time to use, peel back the tarp, grab what I need and restart what’s left. Cheap storage and when not needed, store it for next time. Wes does it I believe
ОтветитьThanks for the ride along Travis and sharing your thoughts. Personally I think the hay looks great and you have done a great job with the bottom 👍🇺🇸
ОтветитьI enjoy it when you give us a "Tell it from the driver's seat" video! Any creators I subscribe to who put up content gets into the in box so to say. Reality dictates when I get the chance to go through and watch it, like the old man flipping through the papers. This right here, this effort of yours, is my favorite byline of the figurative pile of papers in front of me and I thank you for it and the effort you put into it. In my opinion, there is a balance to be had of people, machinery, and effort and each can limit the other. The best we can do is to do what we can and make time for living.
ОтветитьI like all of your content but row crops would be good.
ОтветитьI noticed part of this field is not mowed. Is it to wet?
ОтветитьAny chance interseeding the bench ground in fall for the next few years will reestablish the crop you desire?
ОтветитьThat's a nice, healthy looking second cut! Yeah, adding another tractor to the farm makes sense. Year around use vs getting seasonal equipment first? It's a tough call to make. How do you prioritize with limited funds?
ОтветитьLots to think about isn't there lol 🤣
Nice video love the Ride along 💪💪😎
Great video
ОтветитьRow crop update video please. Thanks.
ОтветитьBeautiful looking crop, total tonnage might not be a record but it should be awesome feed.
Ответитьyes on the crop update
ОтветитьCrop update would be nice.
Is tarping an option?
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Hay looks good. Was wondering if you might want to take a few ideas from OLF and possibly get some tarps for hay storage and possibly Ryan might look into a walking floor trailer with a tag axel to increase his load carrying capacity. Wishing you and your family the best.
ОтветитьCould you tarp it with the tarps like Wes, no ideal but in your case would probably be better than wrapping.
ОтветитьPaul Harvey died 28 February 2009. He was a favorite Radio personality of mine. Today another favorite radio personality that I grew up with was Vin Scully, a baseball Hall of Fame radio broadcaster with the Los Angeles Dodgers died today 02Aug22.
The two of them are now in heaven comparing notes.
It was a sad when Paul Harvey passed. But today is just as sad for me if not more. Vince Scully was 94 years old.
Heaven is looking like it will be such a nicer place with both of those guys already there.
Like I said before great looking hay Travis
ОтветитьThanks for the video Travis. The question of what to update next is always there no matter what it seems like.
ОтветитьHi Travis. Nice video. Your day's should have 30 hours at least. Have a nice day ! Greetings from Belgium
ОтветитьSpot on Travis.
ОтветитьA crop update would be great. Another big grain cart makes harvest a little bit easier. Nice video again Travis, thank you👍
ОтветитьIs the semi flatbed a go. I heard it was for sale
ОтветитьWhat about no-till drilling alfalfa (like you do with oats)into the valley ground? Would the ROI be there in the valley?
ОтветитьLove the tedding tractor time with Travis! Thanks for the update hope it works out!
ОтветитьShould look for large tarps. We use them to cover large square bales. I know guys that get tarps from company that do the large signs on freeways.
For grain cart, I would vote to get a 1100+ bushel cart and an older 9XX0 articulated tractor. Something that is used mainly for cart duty and some tillage. Find a used one at auction that you can put 3-5 yrs on with out needing major overall from high hours.
I agree with you on having a cart that will fill the semi
ОтветитьGreat video Travis I enjoy the videos keep them coming also crop updates are always welcome!
ОтветитьTravis the best thing I know too tell you is follow your gut. It’s usually correct. And I love tedding videos while you chat! Oh and a row crop update would be awesome
ОтветитьGreat video travis
ОтветитьLove the tedding videos. Love the updates on what you guys are thinking for the farm
ОтветитьBut of course!
ОтветитьFrom what I am seeing a wider tedder would be a help
Ответитьif you adda loader to that idea of a 6430...i think there would be many new jobs that the 4020 would not be able to do....so the 4020 could be kept on the implements that it does. (just my 2 cents)
