Great interview! I’m a trauma survivor and stayed strong until both of my parents passed away. Some people can’t show their scars until they are completely out of the situation.
ОтветитьI have followed Darrens career since the 90's. While he has a beautiful voice, he has an even more beautiful soul. I wish him light and love. All the best Darren from one of your Canadian fans. xxxooo
ОтветитьThank you for the interview for Darren to tell his stories to us. Its an inspirational life journey he may face and overcome the fear. I am one of his million fans. ❤
Ответить❤❤❤ Darren ❤❤❤
ОтветитьTerrific Interview as I too am a trauma and cptsd survivor from childhood maltreatment. Darren is one terrific man.
ОтветитьLove Darren! Great interview, I grew up listening to Savage Garden and being from Brisbane too!! I saw you guys in Brisbane in about 1997 and it was one of the BEST CONCERTS I had been to!!
ОтветитьThis interview was so good Darren is the sweetest person in the world.
ОтветитьDarren is my Hero. I am proud of him. Aww he gives me butterflies inside my stomach. 💙🦋 I love you, Darren. 💙🦋
ОтветитьHis sister is incredible
ОтветитьJust a wonderful interview ❤
I follow Darren since 1997 when I heard I Want You for the first time...and I always followed his solo career.. I always thought he was a men with a big big heart and he's always been so emotional to me.. I knew he's been bullied and I knew about his family, his father and I always suffered for him...this interview is so precious for other people who are passing throug these feelings and this painful situations, and I feel so glad he's here in this world because he makes me feel that for every single bad person in the world who beats you and humuliate you, there is another one that's a good person, ready to support you, to love you, to keep you walking on..and therapy is so important to understand your feelings and events in your life, bad or good, are part of you and if you take them all and you accept them for what they really are, you'll be complete..
I love Darren so much, and I'm very proud of him..and I really appreciate that the interviewer listened to his answers with empathy and real emotion in her eyes...respect for all he passed through, and I'm really glad that he's still here to share his emotions with us, with his voice and his song too.. ❤❤❤
This has really helped me thanks Darren ❤
ОтветитьIn my books, Insatiable, is the best pop song of the 2000’s. It’s up there with stressed out by 21 pilots.
ОтветитьDarren has been my inspiration as an artist. There’s something about his story I could relate to (not everything, but a lot). That’s why I felt his music so much even when I couldn’t understand all the words in English. I wish him all the best and hopefully he’s at peace with himself now.
ОтветитьThis is the perfect interview. PERFECT! I love the way you allow them to answer questions and give him time to think about his answers. You allow your guests time to be silent. You're soft and kind. You are genuinely interested in the questions and answers you're talking about. You don't force anything and allow the interview to flow so natural from one moment to the next. You never for one moment made the interview about yourself which VERY few podcasts do!! This may sound strange but I'm so proud of you! You're doing an amazing job.
I've spoken to Darren a few times over the years and would class myself as a fan. He did miss out quite a bit about the Savage Garden break up though to protect himself. I've had the pleasure of speaking to Daniel Jones a number of times and there are always two sides of every story.
Darren leaked the break up of the band to his reporter friend who then went on to report the break up before it was official. Sony had asked both Darren and Danial not to tell anyone until the end of the press tour / tour promoting Affirmation. Daniel did hold a meeting with the press where he was like "wtf, got no idea what you're on about guys" but he did not know that the leak come from Darren.
Also Darren did not like the fact that Daniel worked on other projects while in Savage Garden. Daniel hated the music business and fame. He also hated touring. That is why be broke he Savage Garden. it is also worth noticing that it was Daniel started the band.
Anyway I just wanted to say a massive thank you for this beautiful interview
I've been listening to his wonderful songs for more than 20 years & I feel all his emotions that he conveys through his magnificent songs.
ОтветитьMister Hayes you are such a positive Person who I admire, love, since I saw you on TV screen 1997...till then it never stop to be your biggest fan...thank you God for Darren Hayes
ОтветитьShame they can’t just get together and do some pub concerts.
ОтветитьSuch a beautiful person inside and out x thank you Darren ❤
ОтветитьThankyou so much for this wonderful insightful interview. Darren is one of my favourite people on this Earth, I've been a fan for 20+ years and his amazing voice has gotten me through some awful times in my life. Listening to him talking so openly about trauma is heartbreaking but also healing to so many. Thankyou for being so patient, respectful and considerate with him and allowing him time to give full considered answers ❤️
Ответитьi got hear him speak and got to meet him briefly at his book signing at Melbourne Uni yesterday. He is so honest and a really warm person! loved meeting him and getting to tell him in person all the joy his music has brought me over the years ❤️🫶
ОтветитьFantastic interview.
ОтветитьSuch beautiful interview !!!!
ОтветитьSounds like Darren needs to be alone for a while so he can learn to be happy without relying so heavily on another. Will buy his book
ОтветитьWhile being a fan of Darren Hayes since the 90s, and feeling some of the things that turned out to be true long ago, I never knew obviously the extent of things until reading the book, and now I know how it feels to have such empathy, love, and compassion for someone I've never met.
ОтветитьDarren, I went through similar circumstances. I am not gay nor is my brother, but we had an alcoholic father who would beat our mother and sometimes us. And I was bullied in school, my brother in a different way, so know that it has nothing to do with you being gay. They just do a trial and error on everyone and who can't or won't defend themselves, that's their victim. Teachers, they are mostly assholes. Even in my case.
ОтветитьWe love u Darren ❤ thanx
