I see you talk about Analytics. What about GDPR ? Google is not gdpr friendly so install it to your clients may put them in trouble...

Hi I just hired someone for a small e-commerce website offering travel tour packages. I’m on a budget so I’m very limited to hiring a professional. My web designer is currently using Wordpress and uses Namecheap for hosting that he pays himself. I honestly have no clue how this works so I agreed. He is asking €15 maintenance a month so I’m assuming it’s for hosting and also for small updates on the website. So far I’m not satisfied with the website and I’m considering hiring another one. Unfortunately I realised he has very limited knowledge making an e-commerce website. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

They just need the wordpress files I already made and then installing it to their own.

@LivingWithPixels. some people in my account fiverr asked me to design a website for them or to become a webmaster for their website , but I actually I don't know how to do that or to add their websites to my WordPress is this the way the 8 steps that you mentioned in this video is this how it works

Your clients needs full access to their website. All B's. That's why you have a good hosting service that makes backups at least daily. People that are actually busy do not have time to set-up all these things. That should be part of another package you offer.

I don't understand why wouldn't you build the clients website locally using Local and then push it to their host/domain when finished?

You should do an update of this video since it was recorded 2 years ago, the google analytics plugin for example is still the best option to check yout website traffic or is a better option available now?

I am a full time middle school computer science teacher for the past 22 years. , but am looking to part time freelance in web site design. Then with some experience, hopefully scale up to early retirement from teaching where I can do some aspect of this working from home. Some questions I still have concern workflow. So once I get some jobs, what should I use to get a signed contract? What should my contract say? What kind of jobs would be suited for a beginner like myself? What do I charge with my experience? Invoicing? etc I just need some guidance to get going. Any info would help. Thanks
