I served 12 years in the British army, left in 2022. Watching these videos brings back so many memories. Although our training was a lot lot different than theirs, the camaraderie is the same. Although there were crap times in the army could always rely on your mates to give you a good laugh and moral support. Part of me misses being a soldier. To anyone who’s in the army right now make the most of it because life is pretty boring when you leave.

That new zealand farm is similar to Hautu in turangi ,New Zealand or rangipo,that is was used in world War 2 for those that ch9se not to do national service

Don't know about anybody else, but this strikes me as a perfect sales pitch for the reinstation of National Service. I was an Air Cadet and it was the making of me.

I joined the British army in 1975 as a 16yr old Junior Soldier & had it worse than this TV show depicts of the training in the 50s & I’m sure those 50s guy will be screaming at the their screens too 😂
But it is a TV programme 🤪
