Damn Erik Barnett is just ridiculously amazing! It would be cool to see him with Iron Butterfly again.
Ответитьlo veo dificil.... es muy complejo..... especilamente por que con esa formacion. no alcanzaron el exito comercaill.. solo se que hay videos con: Eric Brann Doug Ingle Lee Dorman Ron Bushy.. nada mas
Ответитьawesome live perfomance of this song!
ОтветитьAn underrated psychedelic blues masterpiece from an underrated rock band. The guitarist here is Eric Barnett who is no longer with the band, but what a killer performance he delivers here. I want to see these overrated dorks like John Mayer try to outplay this guy!
ОтветитьIron Butterfly not only Greatest Group they are my young age and Butterfly blues my favourit song
ОтветитьGreat to sear/hear them back...where did all the Love go? CALLEN [TheVoice]
Ответить@BloozeDaddy76 i don't think John Mayer is a good example of an overrated musician, he's really good. It's simply something you can't deny, or you don't want to see it (:. And i do agree with you at all the other points.
ОтветитьMan, what a magical preformance...From 7:20 and on to the end i got into a trippy/dreamy kind of state :) Thanks very much for putting this up! And PRETTYPLEASEWITHSUGARONTOP... If you've got more vids from this show, put em up!
ОтветитьI saw them in 1971 doing this live at the Royal Albert Hall with Yes supporting them and purchased the album Metamorphosis shortly afterwards and it still gets played !! Thanks for posting the video.....awesome track ;-)
Ответитьthanks for posting! very cool! I saw them way back when Pinera & Rhino had just joined...it was great! this is a great recording!
ОтветитьHahahahaha thanks man Thanks... Greetings From Chile
ОтветитьWho is the lead singer??
ОтветитьLarry Rust is on the organ - who is no longer in the band. The guitar player singing is Eric Barnett, also not in the band anymore..
Ответитьwhat a monster of a song! great performance indeed!
ОтветитьSaw them do this live at the Royal Albert Hall with YES as the support act. Love it
Ответить@Stoaty123 great experience my friend
ОтветитьMy favorite song from one of my favorite rock albums - "Metamorphosis!" When I met Mike Pinera (the original singer - and guest with Larry Reinhardt on the album) in between a set in the 80s at Hop Singh's in L.A., I mentioned how much I loved the album, and he shrugged, seemingly oblivious to it! You definitely hear the beginnings of Captain Beyond here!
Ответить@BloozeDaddy76 "Metamorphosis" was an unheralded classic. Excellent songs, arrangements and production. Still one of my favorite albums. I always have the CD in my car with the rest of my driving picks.
Ответитьthat was amazing
ОтветитьДа,очень душевно!
Ответитьwow! wow! wow! usually i put some music i like and don't stop watching the videos, doing some other things the same time..this solo i stood still and charmed and was loving every moment of it! thanks!
ОтветитьAs Much as I disliked Dougs voice NO-ONE sings it like him... Also NO-ONE played the Guit like RHINO!
ОтветитьEric Barnett ! Great ! Finally I've found this guy. He was with Club Adobe band when they toured in Russia back in 1989. Many years passed since then. I lost track of him for so long, but now I see him again. What a great experience ! I've just recalled how we drank vodka in Moscow and had a lot of fun with Moscow chicks. Those were the times ! Eric, why dont you come to Moscow again, me and Rudy will be glad to see ya.
ОтветитьWhat sort of guitar is that? It almost looks like a Les Paul Junior, but I don't think it is.
ОтветитьHi there! I'm from Holland and I've never seen Eric Barnett before nor can I find any real information of him. Can you tell me something, for instance in which bands he played, is he still active in music, were does he come from? He surely gives a killer performance and.....has a very sexy voice..... Thnx greetings Dutch girl
ОтветитьIdd. er is verder weinig over hem te vinden. Hij is geweldig. jammer dat er niet meer van hem te vinden is.
ОтветитьWhere was this ?
Ответитьlove it,,,,,,, what about getting away from the rock stage and get into some deep blues,,,, would be awsum debi
Ответитьin a word.....fanfuckintastic
ОтветитьItchycoo Park Camping Experience, Manchester, Tennessee in the summer of 1999. It is the same location as the current Bonnaroo Festival.
ОтветитьIt's a great tune, should have been on the radio but this guitar player/singer can't hold a candle to Mike Pinera who originally did this with Iron Butterfly in the early 1970s. Check it out - click on the link to the right... be sure to listen to part 1 & 2 they're just absolutely killer!!!!!
ОтветитьI agree Iyamni, I think Metamorphosis was their best work ever. Mike Pinera and Larry Rhinehard (now deceased) were excellent together and the songs were by far the best they ever did.
ОтветитьI have known Mike Pinera since the early 1970s. He's not only an incredible guitar player/singer/ songwriter/performer, he's also a helluva nice guy. He used to jam with my band, Axis, in Ft. Lauderdale back then. I know Lee Dorman has since passed away as well as El Rhino (Larry Rinehartd) and Mike is just recovering from a critical case of sepsis in his blood stream but he is still rockin' it loke nobody's business.
Ответитьwhere is the other guitarist ?
Ответитьyes its worth a new Playlist
Ответить:-)
