No Funny bone is but a cruel joke
Like an egg without the yoke
Like no fizzling in your coke
Like the smile that is broke
Humor is something to provoke

Incongruence leads to humor.
Cocky leads to humor.
Obsessiveness leads to humor.
Irony and sarcasm lead to humor. (Incongruence and cocky)
Over-reaction leads to humor.

This explains why I laugh when terrible things happen to me.
My coping strategy is to look at myself from a distance.

He started forgetting- tripping up on- his speech at around the 10 minute mark.
Maybe he was focusing on holding in a fart..
I think he missed his chance, though. Farts will always be funny!

This also explains why I laugh A LOT, because I see a lot of benign violation in a lot of situation that my friends think a malign situation. I often laugh in inapropriate times, making jokes in a funeral, making jokes when someone died to accident etc etc. The only one way to not make me look bad in public is to hold myself to not say anything when that inapropriate times occurs. Even when I want to laugh so badly, I will just try to hold my laugh because all of people will find it inapropriate. That is why I love wearing face mask, they will not know that I was gigling laughing at "inapropriate" thing that occurs.

Wow it is explained why sensitive people doesn't good at handling jokes, It is because what we see as benign violation, they see it as malign violation. That is people need to learn how to handle jokes by being open minded, learn more thing, see the world more and expand your view.

It doesn't "beg the question," it raises or leads to a question. You are at TED--supposedly a group of highly intelligent people--so what's to be gained by demonstrating you are as uneducated as the rest of the pundits on TV? What's next in your misuse of the English language, confusing when it's correct to use "less" and "fewer?" Sad. NO STANDARDS USA.

Components of successful humor: Benign violation, not hurtful to begin with, with distance, alternative meaning. Irma Bombeck said: There is a thin line between laughter and pain, comedy and tragedy, humor and hurt

I think I understand why I don't find humor funny as often as most people do. If a person struggles to learn and consistently follow social norms, they are laughed at. When someone else intentionally makes the same mistake and receives supportive laughter, it feels like privilege, not humor.
