We're Having Skillet Potatoes and Onions for Breakfast | How to make Skillet Potatoes

In my family we called these "cottage fries"... don't know why , but both sides of my family, Irish/Norwegian and Austrian/English, cooked these. Just a great basic recipe. Add a little crumbly bacon, sugar and vinegar and you have German potato salad. Add cabbage and smoked sausage(Austrian) Or ham and cabbage (Irish). Or bangers(English). Chorizo and eggs(Mexican) etc.Or serve with fish cakes(Norwegian) Great stuff.

Why rinse a potato, and then peel it.

I did it with just tons of butter, a fresh chopped jalapeno and onions and some green onions, old bay seasoning, salt, pepper.. then cracked and scrambled 4 eggs in the same skillet, then added some pepper jack cheese.

Just made these for dinner with Sunnyside up eggs. Turned out great. Thanks 😊

Either cooked plain with salt and pepper or cooked with onion like this,we call these biscuit taters,put some in a biscuit and yum😊

Yeah, I make these all the time except I dice up red and green bell peppers and dice the onions, so good anytime! Your video was fine, the lighting was good.

water made them come mushy or maybe I added too much, still tasted good to me just wish they were more crispy then mash like.
