If MacArthur who’s 83 is serious about leading a good example, he could give away that $5,000 watch gifted to him as well as that very old KJV Bible and give away his $14 M, his three homes and sales of his books and DVDs to charity, and draw a livable salary ($100,000 per year).

There is something wrong with a preacher/pastor who has 3 homes, a multi-millionaire as a CHRISTIAN, esp. when he rails against the lifestyles of the Word of Faith preachers. Millions more could be given to help the poor, vulnerable, etc. THAT is referred to multiple times in the Bible. Acts 2 & 4 shows the church doing just that. The second century church (though starting to go off-base) does continue this New Testament practice.

It is very sad to see those who attack another group in such a vicious way, even though reproval should be given Out in many of these situation’s. For years I have viewed Justin peters, Rob Johnson, and Todd Friel as nothing more than puppets to John MacArthur. I asked myself do these men not know that they are going to stand before Almighty God and give an account for what they are doing? I appreciate how Rod has handled dealing with the situation, even though I disagree with some of the things that he has stated. As we know Jesus said in Matthew chapter 6 versus 19 through 21 that we are not to lay up treasures on earth… And then he goes on to say that where our treasure is there will our heart be also. It does not matter if it is Kenneth Copeland, Joel Osteen, or John MacArthur, It does not matter if you are charismatic, Pentecostal, or Presbyterian, this is an actual command from our Lord and it does not matter who you are or what geographical area you live in. Our culture has so influenced our life and even the life of those who are in the pulpit, that we can see greed on every hand in the world and the church. I guess John MacArthur thought he would get him a piece of the American gospel just to see what it taste like. Enough said.

The MacArthur worship is off the chain. These people are seriously trapped in a cult. That is why they will bend over backwards to defend or justify John Calvin burning Michael Servetus at the stake, but someone like Joyce Meyer preaching the gospel is where they draw the line. Also, what does defending yourself against accusations have to do with praising yourself?

Right off the bat this guy uses a quasi false statement when he says John M. calls the false prosperity preachers “greedy”.

The reality is those false teachers are preaching a false gospel and MacArthur says so. That is his point. Not just that they are greedy which they are, but also and vastly more important than that is they preach a false gospel

prosperity is not in a sin itself. it is how you aquired your wealth...JMAC has written hundreds of books...and the sale of these books and tapes are legitimate income. unlike copeland who scam people by selling fake miracles and healing. get your facts straight.

Perhaps McAuthur and J.P. should pull the telephone pole out of their eye, then they could perhaps see clearly enough to pick the splinter out of the eye of Copeland and Osteen.

Please know that you can tell the truth about someone and still be slandering them. Slander is not always false. It can be telling the truth about someone that is shameful or embarrassing before you talk to them about it, or to someone who has no authority to solve the issue that you’re bringing up.
