Who is Kitiara Uth Matar in Dragonlance ? Part 1 ► DND Lore

Agreed.. Neutral Evil. (All actions, activities performed by the player/ creature are ONLY centered around if they will benefit/survive. World centers on the person) I never really thought much about how complex a character she was. I can see why this will be 2 parts. Very, Very good depth of research, again. I’m sure Im not the only one who wondered when we’d see another deep dive.

Agreed a lawful evil character would not kick a man in the balls when the judges are not looking she feels more like a neutral evil character than a lawful evil character on seeing her death I think Kithiara Uth Matar thought she could defy fate itself from looking at Kithiara Uth Matar stats she is smart but wisdom is her dump stat which is why she probably did the deed anyway if I remember right Kithiara Uth Matar is known for making rash decisions which ends up becoming her own undoing in the end

Although she started out driven by the desire to help her family, the lust for power soon made its way into Kitiara, who soon became a greedy opportunist looking for chances to improve her social position, regardless of what she lost in pursuit of her dream.
Her path, which began under the sign of sacrifice and altruism, quickly became an ascent where self-centred lust for power overshadowed everything else. A decidedly negative person, interested only in his own interests. A woman who used people for her own benefit.

As for continuing the mission despite the vision of her own death, Kitiara always thought she was the master of her own destiny and could change fate and bend it to her will.

One note: in the text he called one of the Companions Cardamon: it is Caramon.

Any chance you can do a video about the gods in Dragonlance?

The way I understand things is NE, is the same level of evil as CE or LE. In any case Kithara being a Blue dragon Highlord is NE same as the baseline alignment of Blue dragons.

меня глубоко трогает что Китиара смогла своими силами уйти из своей дыры в 13 лет. В жестокий мир и выжить там. Я уверена что мужчины неоднократно хотели воспользоватся ей видя что она еще ребенок. (Даже старый маг в КД был педофилом и хотел ее, но понимал что она не позволит).
С самого подроскового возраста она была среди наемников и астольного сброда. Не удивительно что для нее все благородство это фигня. И на самом деле тут есть доля правды.
Посмотрите на соламнийских рыцарей все ли из них порядочные люди?
А эльфы?
Если бы Китиара была бы доброй и нежной ее бы сожрали с потрохами. Китиара определено сильная женщина что внутри имеет свои слабости. Она всего практически добилась сама. А не так явно как помогали Лоране.

Hello I am a big Dragonlance D&D fan . Just found your Channel . Your Videos are very cool and informative.

I've noticed that I spelled couple of time Kitiara's name wrong through the video, its "t" not "th". I dont know why😅Maybe I wanted to add something "snakish" to her character. I wont do that in part 2. Anyway, I was doing some deep dive in Dragonlance lore as I decided to tell you a story of Kitiara Uth Matar, a famous character of the setting. I decided to split a video into two parts before and after War of the Lance. Second part coming soon! She is a good example of super-dedicated straightforward charcter with clear goals. I liked her story from start to the end. Though I've read quite a lot of opposite thoughts on her here and there. Let me know what you think!
