Is it normal to feel drowsiness after sun exposure? and is it fine to nap after?
ОтветитьWhen you said artificial lights wont do the trick, im guessing you just mean a typical light bulb?
Cause i have a good quality grow light thats full spectrum, meaning it has most useful wavelengths for photosynthesis. Ive been staring into that (safely) for about a week now and have noticed a massive difference in my focus and energy in the morning and i never crash in the afternoon anymore. Thoughts?
Edit: should be mentioned that i wake up anywhere between 4 and 5 am and the sun doesnt rise till aalmost 8 at this time of year.
Because of my hypertensive retinopathy, my ophthalmologist is adamant about always wearing sunglasses when I go outside. Any thoughts on that?
ОтветитьI love the podcast and listen to all of the episodes. I also apply the protocols in my daily routine, especially viewing the sunlight in the morning. However, I had also read a lot about the dangers and damage the sun can cause to the eyes including cancer. My family has a history of melanoma and I have gotten concerned that this practice of morning sun exposure, which I had been religiously following may not be safe for me.
I also wear sunscreen but am still concerned about the cumulative impact on my skin.
What are your thoughts on those topics? I'd be very grateful for an answer or coverage in one of your episodes.
How do you feel about the vitamin D lights on the market? I've been considering one that mimics the soft rise of the sun first thing in the morning and wondered if it's just marketing
ОтветитьHuberman says that it is okay to look into the sun without protection, as long as it isn't painfun. Unfortunately this is false information. Permanent eye damage can result from looking into the sun without feeling any immediate pain. The inside of our eyes is simply not evolved to sense pain like most of our skin and insides are.
ОтветитьI prefer to take my walks at night. Sunlight really hurts my eyes.
ОтветитьLong time issues donors it mean . I should accept .get=up and try to change the pattern . Get very tired midday stressful .
Being older . Siesta if that ok
this is really practical😊
ОтветитьThanks for video. What is your advice on routine for people who work regularly in graveyard shifts?
ОтветитьFor those of us that work indoors and start work at 5:00am? Then what? No sun in Michigan at 5:00am for most of the year. Still dark. Working in an auto assembly plant, don't have the luxury of going outside whenever I want.😕
ОтветитьPlease stoOop repeating twice e-v-er-y--t-h-i-n-g…
It offends what little intelligence we have.
hey hey dude, thanks for the vidos!! now a cool mood for the whole day :)))
ОтветитьI I I me me me ...NPD?
ОтветитьDo eye conditions such as cataracts, retinal or corneal disease effect the how well light triggers the responses you talk about?
ОтветитьThis is so weird because there's good advice in there but it's spiked with nonsense like "getting photons in my eyes" photons are just light, why add nonsense language to sound more scientific? Just makes me wanna leave the channel.
ОтветитьI am from India and fortunately we get the exact amount of sun our body needs.
Thanks Andrew! ❤
LOL - my husband and I run a Bakery - we get out of bed at 3:30 am. Other than that, I am on board.
ОтветитьTell this to people living above the arctic circle
ОтветитьI've had a messed up sleep cycle forever now. These days I sleep after 4 or 5 am and wake up between 2-4 pm and there are times I tried to skip sleeping and try to sleep at night where I force myself and just oversleep and wake up again around the same time :( Yes it has coupled with some life events that make me depressed and I'm aware of that, I try my best but getting out has been one thing that I haven't been able to do at all. Anyone who has managed to reset their circadian rhythm? any tips?
ОтветитьI would like to thank profusely for your work sir. Great insights . And the more i am watching your information filled videos , the more i am reminding myself that ancient sages from my country ( India) were damn right about so many things. Getting up in the morning, doing ice /cold water bath in river , performing surya namaskar etc were and still are part of our rich culture . Many friends of mine who are still living in villages are so accoustmed to these things that when i discussed huberman lab points, they said that they are doing them already. and belive me grand parents of some of my freinds are well into their 110 years and quite fit. remarkable.
ОтветитьI’ve been doing this for the past two weeks but today i slacked and i forgot how awful i feel when i don’t do this
ОтветитьI get that this is based on science and it’s just facts I guess but how is this realistic? I have to wake up, shower, eat, then go to work. I don’t get outside till about an hour after I wake up and that’s just to walk to my car
ОтветитьUK is gray, dull and damp constantly. Does this still apply?
ОтветитьI am occupied inside when the sun rises until later in the day. I am up very early. Which kind of artificial sunlight, or which brand, is best since I cannot get to sunlight?
ОтветитьMom2.0
ОтветитьSo my transition lenses are doing me a disservice in the morning . Damn.
ОтветитьYour commitment to promoting mental wellness is evident in every video you create. Keep shining a positive light on this important topic.
ОтветитьThis man has taught me so much. I really appreciate Andrew teaching us all for free.
ОтветитьVery good advise. For us scandinavians it's simply impractical and sometimes outright impossible. I get up around 2 hours before the sun, and this will turn even worse. Are there any specifics as to what kind of lamps would work?
ОтветитьI am a video Editor, , and i mostly stay indoors anyhow a few months back i hardly stepped out of the house during the day and also the curtains of my roon are on, so there was bare minimum sunlight in my room and only the blue light of the screen all day long. Because of this i was at all times lazy, deprresed, anxious, exhausted. Even my eyes had become sort of tiny or say closed. Really morning sunlight is very very necessary for you to fully wake up and get going for the day
ОтветитьI will say this when i sun bath I'm hornier😂.... And i sleep better of course
ОтветитьYou are telling people to look Directly into the Sun?
ОтветитьI'm going to wake up and stare directly at the sun
ОтветитьOh the privilege to wake up when the sun is already up
ОтветитьLols I wake up at 3am for work. What's sun in the morning 😂
ОтветитьCan you talk about those lights? I live in Canada and I wake up at 4:30AM. The sun doesn't come out strong for many hours. I use a "Happy light". Is this sufficient? Or do I need the kind of light used in indoor gardens?
ОтветитьFinally, information scientifically based!
ОтветитьI work 3rd shift(sleep during the day)
ОтветитьAnd there I was contentedly staring out the window at the rain...burst my bubble and I had to move my gaze to the open door😊
ОтветитьI'm at work for 2.5 hrs before I can get to light. As I wake up for work pre-dawn. Frist opportunity isn't until 8am.
ОтветитьYou can use phones camera light to shine in your eyes just dont look directly at it
ОтветитьAs a lazy bum i sleep in darkness and wakeup in darkness
ОтветитьI live in West Siberia, close to the north. In summer, I have trouble sleeping, because the sun rises around 1:00 AM. In winter, I have trouble waking up because it's dark outside till 10:00 AM.
