I joined in 1997 and went through so many uniform changes. I have to admit, by the time I retired, my favorite was the Type III.
ОтветитьWhat, no cold weather clothing issued? No pea coats, no gloves?
ОтветитьPT is Physical Training. HM1 get it together.
ОтветитьMarine here, PT stands for physical training. Come on squid get it right!
ОтветитьI miss the working whites (ice cream man) and the working blues (Gestapo uniform). Wearing black pants in the tropics is idiocy. And what is with the camo! It’s the Navy!
ОтветитьWhere is the uniform where you cross dress and become a he/she, wear lipstick and are in drag? You know where you are an immoral, mentally I’ll pos and your officers applaud you?
Where’s that uniform?
Why doesn't the Navy want women to have pockets?
ОтветитьMiss my dungeree bellbottoms 1998 and the Junior NCOs and recruits wearing Camouflage just ain’t right to me my opinion my experience 1998-2002 VF-31 AK2 CVN-72 Westpac 2000. Only the Chiefs should be in Khaki
ОтветитьNo tailor made or undress blues. No Wool,Wool, Wool or seafares means no survival
ОтветитьI wanted to join the Navy but the recruiter made me look like a dumbass in front of the other recruiters , the Marines were like yeah u can pass with a 30 and just work out kid I'm like ok
Ответить70-74 we didn't have enough uniform allowance money to get enough uniforms so we had clean clothes. What little money we made was partly spent to buy uniforms.
They would have been better off not having so many different uniforms. One type of work dungarees and one type of dress uniform.
So as a soldier, I just roll up my PC and put that bad boy in my cargo pocket, do sailors really gotta handhold their cover at all times, or- is there a certain way to fold it to keep those points?
ОтветитьLooks like Navy enlisted uniforms have changed a lot since I retired in 1989. Piping and stars on dress white jumpers? Where are the dungarees? 🤔
ОтветитьNice job. Understandable and casual presentation. 😊Thanks.
ОтветитьIs it "sizeist" to observe that at least the last two sailors on the right, and possibly three might not have pasted the height requirements back in the 60's? and that last one looks to be about 11 years old... hope they aren't on Damage Control... guess they could be a yeoman.
ОтветитьHad two white or blue. Oh wait camo in nam Dumb bitxx
ОтветитьThe Village People must have been in the navy before they went into show business.
ОтветитьSo
Jelly when I was in didnt have these sharp uniforms total upgrade from when I was all bravo Zulu
When I joined in the early 1960's, the uniforms were: dress blues, neckerchief, white hat, cambray shirt and dungree trousers (work), short sleeved white shirt and white trousers, work boots, dress black shoes, swim trunks (wool), ball cap, peacoat, raincoat, white tee shirts, boxers or briefs, handful of clothes stops, black socks, black belt and buckle and the flat hat (which was never worn) all neatly packed into the olive green seabag.
I still have my peacoat, raincoat and swim trunks (hated those things).
