Are those the stock tires? If so, that's pretty impressive.
ОтветитьWatching this, not knowing what any of this means. My 2012 Outback will do just fine.
ОтветитьStop doing off-road testing with normal road tires, it is highly unrealistic and any person that would take their car off road would have some sort of all terrains
ОтветитьI just got the 2024 , X-Mode has come a long way since this video was made . They are impressif stock and awesome with just a few
upgrades , like good tires a 2" lift and for those imposable places a wench . They aren't rock crawlers but they will take you places you
wouldn't even try with most SUV / crossovers .
Is this VEHICLE BORROWED FROM A DEARLER,IS THIS WHY YOU GUYS DONT GET A LOT MORE AGREESIVE WITH THE VEHICLES IN YOUR VIDEOS
Ответитьcan you test tug a tree or stump pull to see how good is the torqe all on x-mode and vdc off
ОтветитьVery impressive how Subbies are and have a good 4wd system.
Grettings from Swiss.
Last year (11/21) I bought my wife a 2019 Outback. It’s her commuter car and our road car.
We are so impressed with the traction in all weather conditions here in north central WA state.
We decided to replace my 11 Rav 4WD Limited 3.5 V6 with a late model Forester Touring.
A few days ago I found a 2019 Forester Touring (Sephia Bronze with Brown interior) in Shoreline Subaru.
Get this, it only has 4,700 miles on it. It’s a Certified Subaru.
I’m a maintenance nut but the previous owner has changed the oil 7Xs in 4,700 miles.
At 2,500 miles he had the brake fluid changed and at only 1,300 miles he had new tires put on.
If Snowqualmie pass is open on 12/12/22, we’ll drive to Carter Subaru to pick it up.
I drive about 5K miles a year, so I’ll probably be dead and gone before it’s wore out 😁
2 years later came back to your video again. Can you compare regular outback vs xt
ОтветитьThouhht out, objective and we can see the actual performance in various modes. So professionsl compared to the many "oh wow, this is great" vids
ОтветитьMore outback videos 🎉
ОтветитьWhat amazes me about your offroad tests is that you're not allowed to air down the tires, the road tires! I can only imagine how great this car is with a lift, A/T tires that can be aired down.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьDoesn’t the CVT get all burnt up though with off-road use
ОтветитьGood job TFL did this and couldn’t complete a clime. Subaru has always been known for there awd system
Ответитьאתה נהג גרוע. עבודה לא טובה עם דוושת הגז
Ответитьlas cago
ОтветитьThe 3.6R engine should be STANDARD on Outbacks. The 4cyl is not the
right fit for this heavy vehicle. And shouldn't even be offered quite
honestly. I also feel if they upped the HP on the 3.6R to about 280hp
you'd see a far better output paired with the CVT. I mean the 256hp is
sufficient but it loses its power gain in the higher RPMs. And i DO NOT
like the new 2.4 turbo the lag on that engine is ridiculous and i question it's long term reliability. If they had paired the 260hp and 277lbs torque and kept the 3.6R that would have
even made great gains. Because of the increased torque ratio of 277 vs
247. Bad move Subaru on the 2.4 turbo people want the 3.6R so bring it
back...!!!
Such a good testing method of off-road performance. Your informed insight, slowmotion comparison of identical lines and other aspects make this is probably the best informative off-road review I've seen. Bravo and thank you
ОтветитьWe def need the Mav and the Outback Wilderness on this
ОтветитьNever tried it with standard drive mode.
ОтветитьTest a Land Rover also !!!
ОтветитьHopefully Subaru comes with out an Crosstrek wilderness w/ 260hp&277TQ. I’m all in if they do.
Ответитьi take my forester up crazy steep super rocky cunky roads all the time in construction. stock tires.
ОтветитьThe new Outback XT seems to do a lot better than the older model used to on uphill tracks. (Where the cvt would cut power at an inconvenient time!).
Wonder if its the tougher cvt unit, or more engine power that helped?
These look great but you always hear nay sayers that they implode at 100k miles and burn tons of oil.
ОтветитьSubaru still make the onix autback in 2021?
Ответитьdo the wilderness in same place!
ОтветитьPlease come back here with the Wilderness so we can see a comparison vid :)
ОтветитьTire size?
BF Goodrich AT to help
When seeing this, as a potential Subaru Onyx buyer, I'm so eager to know how a T4R TRDOffRoad would make it up this.
ОтветитьHave you done a test like this for a 2022 outback premium? I’m curious is the x mode is just as good as this ?
ОтветитьDefinitely not a thorough test...
1st should be how it works as is when ya start it
2nd should be EVERYTHING OFF, so you actually have full use of the vehicle...all that traction/stability crap cripples the car! I'd bet about anything this will get you your best result. I drove a 2020 outback all last winter in serious snow ALWAYS WITH ALL THE AUTOMATED CRAP OFF & the car was a fire breathing rally car rock star. Any real driver wants all 4 wheels digging in & grinding it out regardless of contact/traction
3rd & 4th what you did here
5 & 6...the x-modes WITHOUT TC...if that's even an option...I don't remember, 'cause I know it's something I NEVER used
One in the eye for the CVT naysayers this.
ОтветитьY
ОтветитьI am not a Subaru owner, but I thought they would just go up there without any fuss at all. Hmmmm
ОтветитьReally wanna know what an OUTBACK can do??? Turn off the bullshit computer, and just let it perform with your interaction!
ОтветитьInteresna semeini mashini polu djip
ОтветитьWhen are you doing test drive for the wilderness?
ОтветитьWould you choose this or the Honda Passport?
ОтветитьКогда машина смогла заехать, траектория была другая. С задачей она так и не справилась. Вариатор не может ехать в гору.
ОтветитьBought a 2021 onyx in the gray metallic a few weeks ago. Absolutely love it. Spectacular value for the money.
ОтветитьDo they make large tire and suspension kits fot these? (I mean much bigger tires)
ОтветитьLooks like tfl was right, it does need a geared transmission with a transfer case. Aside from that it’s perfect for soft roading/overlanding.
ОтветитьLooking forward to the wilderness models trying this again!!!
ОтветитьDo these one too many times, and the transmission will probably burn out.
ОтветитьI watched this vid for the 5TH time ?? and first of all I really enjoy your vids but mainly after watching your vids on the 2020 Outback and other vids on the Outback, and Forester, and Cross Trek...........I am really, really glad I purchased my 2020 Outback Touring XT. Aside from the testing vids I referred to and how well the Subaru does, way over ALL the competition, my impression of my 2020 Outback is..........it is just a great car. I am loving everything about it. Mine has the brown leather and brown leather accents and I will say right here. I look forward to everytime I have to drive somewhere. My car drives GREAT, it is pretty to look at outside and especially inside. I admire the interior all the time, And since my Outback Touring XT has the 2.4 litre turbo charged engine..........when it's time to pass a vehicle or when you need/want the power......my Outback launches to the ready !!! 260 HP and 277 pound feet of torque moves my 4000 LB car QUITE nicely. And fuel economy is not all that much less than the EFI 2.5 litre engine, if you keep your foot out of it. I am soon to be 68 years old and more and more I drive like an old man { read that sanely }. But boy is it nice/fun to have that power when you want it. Signed, Doug.
ОтветитьCorrect tires for terrain would help.
ОтветитьRav 4 adventure on this... id pay to see it... 🤣 I own one..and really wanna try it..rock and dirt mode I think would do alot better
