Not enough power/torque to build up the speed.

my only argument to this video is finding a dealership that will actually have this model/package for the price you said [not including taxes and tages], or at the least, having the price anywhere less than 45k....

If you don’t like the plastic skirtings, take your vehicle down to your local Rhino Liner and have them spray it with Rhino Lining. Extra protection plus a more rugged and durable look. I’ve seen it done. It looked excellent imo.

Ha- I appreciate Sarah-n-tune sense of humor-- she said " Did you ever notice- Subaru spelled backwards is U R A bus?" ha. Never notieed that- but as i said- I LOVE these little things-- seems like they'd be FUN.. but I don't care for that huge screen sticking up there-and the CVT.... and yes a FRONT facing camera for " off-pavement" would be GREAT.

I love these little buggers-- but I'm hesitant becuase of the BAD REP that Subaru has earned the last few years-- and many mechanics STILL say sTAY AWAY from them... especially BECAUSE of the CVT (Certainly Verified Trash)... and I do know they FEEL , sound, and kinda look CHEAP to me. I know they're NOT because I sold Subarus for a while back when they first got popular many years ago.. and I also know they have THE BEST AWD system on the market- BAR NONE!!! I 'm just having issues getting past that "rept" and hesitating thinking it would be a mistake to get one.

I like your "tests" and reviews-- you go slow and explain what is happening.. I also like SARAH-N-TUNED and her tests-- she "gives it the beans" and pushes them to their limits and DOES NOT "BABY" it through the rough spots... !!! Between you two and BRIAN MASKE (race driver) giving a PRO- DRIVER (on road) view-- it's all covered very well...

Is there a mode that turns off all the traction controls and allows the wheels to just spin? I wonder if that would have worked better on that last hill-climb since all four tires were on the ground.

The crosstrek was on a short list of an ideal small, capable, and fun secondary commuter... was being the operative word. They dropped the manual transmission option when finally launching a wilderness trim/package. 🤬

The shame with the Crosstrek platform is that it's the Impreza but lifted with no downtravel- that info paired with a sub-200hp engine makes a Crosstrek seem kind of redundant versus the Outback wilderness. Interesting look though!

Subaru is an absolute outsider here in Austria, but in the mountains every second resident drives one.

Imagine what it could do with some proper off-road tires.

Another great video! Thanks for all the Subaru love. Your videos definitely helped me before I made the decision to buy my Wilderness in the past. I know you do videos all over the place, if you are ever in Arizona making something, I am out in the Phoenix area and I have a 2023 Forester Wilderness with a 2 inch spacer kit and bigger/better tires than it came with stock. Be happy to bring it out so you have another vehicle to compare and run through some trails. I take it overlanding everywhere

Great car I own one and love it that being said it’s not a jeep rubicon so be smart about where you try to go everything has its limits

I'm fairly convinced this guy is a sham. He "over heats" GM transfer cases. Yet has no issues with Subarus CVT, which every other off road channel shows them over heating.

For the price of this vehicle with the add-ons included, the performance it puts out is incredible. It is a daily driver that has everything you need with some frankly impressive off-road capabilities should you live in an area where that is a necessity or are an adventure seeker. This vehicle isn't for the people who like off-roading, but rather for people who simply encounter off-road situations somewhat frequently. What a great little vehicle. I hope Subaru continues to develop this platform and adds more options for functionality.

It’s cool but disappointing that Subaru stopped Manual transmissions for the crosstrek

Hey it might be a good idea to tell your subscribers that the headlights on Subaru’s aren’t adjusted correctly from the factory.

It sure would be nice to test a non wilderness non TRD…. How about a mid/low price model.

Trying to decide if I want the crosstrek wilderness or forester wilderness. I feel like the crosstrek isn’t worth it since you can get a forester for a little more.

I've climbed into the regular crosstrek at my local dealer - the addition of the third camera is REALLY DUMB - blocks most all of your forward vision 20 degrees or so off straight forward ; even with the seal in the lowest setting - same in the outback and Impreza SAD.

Can it have a hitch?

Remove all this awful excess cladding & it will be able to climb anything... prefer the sleeper look than the excessive look which in the end is not capable.

Fingers crossed for the Baja return!!!!! Be retiring the outback XT for one if it does come out. Cant wait.

That final descent and climb was incredible! Good job Subaru.

Would a 6 speed 2023 Crosstrek have been successful?

I'm curious if you believe the Crosstrek Sport would be able to tackle a majority of the same off road courses if equipped with similar or more aggressive all-terrain tires? Or do you think the Wilderness makes that much of a difference in this case?

too bad subaru is like 180 hp for all these cars. like come on they had that 10 years ago. psh
