BMW Eco Pro , Comfort Mode , Sport & Sport + Modes Explained

Hi, my 430d sport Mperformance when use a ECO PRO is saving fuel, but when pressed kickdown, directly I have 100% power on the wheel . This car is so quick change from little popy to crazy monster 😅😊😊
And yes confirm use DCT off and sport+ is not for idiot. With this mode is so easy have a party in the bushed 🌲🌳🌴🪴🌱🏝😂😂😂😂

Only thing the Eco pro button is good for is when my girlfriend gets behind the wheel of the active5… she can’t handle all that power😂

Yea i do love the sport button on my F31 330d msport 😁

Don't forget that if you have a stock exhaust, on the Sport/Sport+ it turns the exhaust valve to open, giving you a bit louder exhaust sound. Great video tho. Cheers

Is Sport with TC turned off same as Sport + ?
and also does comfort has less power at full throttle then sport?

Great vid as always, my 21 reg 420i actually gets more to the gallon on a run if in eco pro as it holds higher gears, but around town its useless as no acceleration as you said

I often pop it into eco mode if the roads are a bit icy or wet. As it reduces the throttle I’ve found it reduces the chances of wheel spin and eases the power in. Anyone else do this?

I drive my G20 330i only in Eco Pro (75%) and Sport + (25%)😅

So sport + is a add on option? My sport wagon came with it already

This car is older than mine but in newer models ecopro regen is reduced to only when u apply the brakes + engine power is reduced to 60%

My 2014 435i rwd manual gets 34 mpg going 95 mph in eco. Whether im correct or not, it feels like the turbo is heavily disengaged, until you really easy into the throttle. Maybe it’s because i have the direct throttle mapping, but for a 520 hp bolt on/ build this car can be whatever you want it to with a safe a build, or up to 800 with new internals

I really don't like the sound of the engine in Eco Pro

The speed limit for Eco pro depends on what road you are on. I think it uses the sat nav for changing the speed limits. I often use eco pro if I am just chilling, slow moving around on a summer's day with my Cypress Hill CD on... 🤣

when i click sport or eco mode in my 2014 bmw it will stay activated until i drive, it will turn off after about 5 seconds, does anyone have a solution

hi, i’ve just bought a new bmw and there’s a weird lever behind the left side of the steering wheel, has arrows for going left and right, looked like a malfunction so i snapped it off

Is there any difference between having it in sports plus mode as to having it in sports mode with traction off?

Idk if its just me or At comfort and eco pro the zf8 is soo lazy for downshift it just doesnt wanna downshift, so everytime it is like flooding.. sport is nice for real drivings.

You can activate Launch Cintrol in Comfort mode with Dynamic Traction Control activated, you dont need Sport+
Just press one time DTC in Comfort and select S on gearbox

How do you do launch control?

On my 320D 2016. In eco pro mode on my autobox, you lift off the throttle the car coasts. There seems to be no engine breaking. I can cruise up to lights from long distances.

Eco pro let's the car coast (takes the car out of gear) so it uses literally no petrol to go down a hill. It will not do this if you have cruise control on, but it's a good thing to do when you know a big downhill is coming up

I used eco Pro to drive from anglesey to Leeds had a full tank leaving got here still a full tank in a 530d

You can remove the speed limit for eco pro by configuring it in the eco pro settings on the screen, then you can drive at any speed while in eco mode

One thing I don’t understand. Why all cars in reviews have to be with bloody automatic gearbox. 20 years ago only guys who considered driving for the worst enemy drove automatic. Automatic is even worse then diesel. That two things and above all electric cars ( can be good but it’s a device not a car) will never be allowed in my house.

My 118i pre-LCI with the 6-speed manual has Sport+. The only things it changes are the throttle and slight steering feel. Don't think it has launch control though...
