Excelente fortress, bue has not be another series so good as honey stock
ОтветитьCat!!!
ОтветитьOne thing to note is that a dwarfs needs is listed on the forth tab under the personality tab. You don't need to meet all the needs, but a dwarfs mood can suffer if enough of those needs goes unmet. Dwarfs have favored jobs, so disabling all of the jobs can make them upset by preventing them from doing their favorite activity. When treating angry dwarfs, you want to find what that dwarf needs and give them a job that sounds like it would fill those needs, while restricting any job that would prevent the dwarf from meeting those needs. You can't always meet the needs of a dwarf, but when you can, it boosts their mood significantly.
ОтветитьAh, a fellow large, serrated disc trap enthusiast, I see! I've got ones loaded with 10 steel discs apiece at the cavern entrance and main entrance of my own fort (Rithmetul / Bellcross) just to catch giant rats that think about stepping into our parlour.
ОтветитьThose first 35 seconds were absolutely terrifying, to be honest
Ответить"On flyback! Both house and butter!"
My sides 💀💀💀
You missed an opportunity to turn some of those trees into statues of crying elves to line the bridge with.
ОтветитьBoth house and butter is so funny
Ответитьyour artifact depictions are fascinating and beautiful
Ответить"On flyback - both house and butter." Is a highlight of this channel for me.
Ответить10/10 intro, I’m 48 seconds into the video and already laughing.
Ответить191 dwarves???? RIP your CPU! Great as always!
ОтветитьSeems like you could have just marked everything for trade and then filtered the items for string "ring" to deselect only those.
Ответитьhey, trees are usefull! All the fruits and nuts can be turned into cakes for trade or celebration!
ОтветитьI'm catching up to current, wow Krug. This is all amazing work, thanks for the content! You've improved so much over the years, sketches and videos both.
ОтветитьThat beginning... 0_0
XD
Pretty sure the tantruming military dwarves is just softer mentally dwarves that are just tired of witnessing other people dying. You did say 50 amphibian people a siege and there's 4 happening a year. I'd imagine if they aren't used to seeing it they're probably heavily effected by it. Since it isn't stopping I'd just take them out of the military.
ОтветитьI absolutely love the armor you draw on various beasts, happy you will continue to do so!
ОтветитьOne thing I've noticed in my fort is idle fatigue.
The needs system is really good for redirecting an angry dwarf. Turning off labors and putting them aside just makes them angrier. You do kind of have to parent the poor bastards until they finally calm down, but they do eventually go back to happy after some fulfilling tasks. Eliminating a negative task is still better than showering them in positive ones though. At least how I've seen. It's a balancing act, and as always it's a frustrating one sometimes.
If you had gathered wood from land on the eastern side of the bridge would the elves have counted those against your treaty?
ОтветитьWhy am I not surprised the king of the dwarves is a fan of rings?
Ответить'Elves are flying on Giant Bugs.'
Holy Shit, the Elves have fucking Bug Riders like the Mantor Riders from Suikoden 3!
😀😀😀
ОтветитьDweller waves are bugged, unfortunately. It's confirmed bug. I had to disable dwellers at all
Ответитьwow for the first time I am actually nervous about the knife ears attacking if that is going to be the norm.
ОтветитьWait a minute, if the elves love the trees so much and don’t want them to die, why do they use wooden armor made from dead trees? Seems a bit hypocritical to me…
ОтветитьI wish I knew of some QOL thing to make trading less cumbersome. That is I guess, if you don't strategically place stockpiles with proper sorting.
ОтветитьThank you Krug!! Another stellar video!!
ОтветитьHey kruggy, I just wanted to say that you and your videos are awesome and I thank you for making them. You can't imagine how many times they cooled me down and made my day. It feels like being 10 again and listen to a good detective story on tape. The best thing is, I have absolute no idea how to play dwarf fortress. I'm glad you are uploading more frequently again. Keep up the good work!
Ответитьcan stockpiles catch on fire? seems like a lot of wood to have in one warehouse
ОтветитьKrug, you magnificent bastard, thank you from the bottom of my heart for these stories.
Ответитьwhat happened to the kobold statue? also fort is looking good i could never do somthing so big above ground
ОтветитьI like to imagine the first artifact not given to the fortress as a sign of social dynamics within the fortress. All of a sudden you are not a dwarf in a humble settlement where everyone knows everyone, but you're one of 190 dwarfs and see the few rich dwarfs enjoying life in their "decent" bedroom. :b Idk I think it suits the story of the fortress.
ОтветитьNice jail cells are often rehabilitative.
ОтветитьGotta say man, I've seen some awesome work from you in the past, but this one is still special. Really special! You're spoiling us.
ОтветитьI feel like the proper dwarf would definitely fortify the bridrge with some towers mounted ballistas and a drawbridge on both sides. Current fortress looks defenseless
ОтветитьLove to see how much your artwork has developed, the characters are so full of life
ОтветитьI absolutley love these videos nothing can top them. Oh but how i miss splatterface
ОтветитьKrug your videos do more for humanity than anything in hollywood. Keep it up.
ОтветитьI know krugg is not into external software, but I really like dwarf therapist for sorting dwarfs for their personality and likes/dislikes and so on. So I have stressresistent dorfs in my military and never peacelovers. So.
ОтветитьHey Krugg, you mentioned in a prior episode about having to edit a number of images where all you do is add borders to them. Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but you can pretty easily write a program that does that for you.
ОтветитьI know they are evil frog men but i felt so bad for them when I heard them yell in pain from the traps in the begining.
ОтветитьSo the king lives in a giant iron box on top of a tower? Hope he's not up there during a lightning storm lol
ОтветитьYou don't have to pre-sort forbidden items from the trade depot, you just have to not trade them and they're marked in the UI. It's not a big deal.
ОтветитьDon't know if you're aware, but it might be worth knowing for your next series/world. There's a mod that expands the list of dwarf names, by adding more domains to the list of acceptable names. Reduces how often you get duplicate names, which might be nice for what you do. Great work, as always. You are a pillar of the community.
Also, from my experience with the steam release, the need about crafting an object seems a bit more important than before. I'm not completely sure about that, but that might be why your military dwarves are having a rough go of it.
Is this what an elven siege is like? Not waiting for them to starve, but for the military to tantrum themselves to death?
Ответить
