My Pop Pop had one eye since an accident when he was 13. He still was very handsome. My uncle had only part of his ear left from a fire. They did not have prosthetic treatment in the early 20th century, but my grandfather and uncle made do as most people did. So glad there is treatment now for the people who need it. I am very impressed. looking pleasant and blending in with others is gift of confidence.

I think the one who surprised me most, is the lady who has the trach, and has the nasal and labial prostheses. You are BEAUTIFUL with and WITHOUT your prostheses!!

Broke my heart to see the suffering these people had gone through. What a worthy profession!
