How's this going, Thomas? Would love to get an update here or as a separate video on how you have evolved your thinking about the overwhelm in life.
ОтветитьNeeded this
ОтветитьHi Thomas Frank, thank you for sharing your experience and for the advices you shared in this video. I am currently overwhelmed with orders from my business to the point that I know exactly what to do but I end up not doing them.
ОтветитьSelf employed entrepreneur, can’t relate.
Overwhelmed people who work physically at a job for someone else is a completely different beast.
Dude, I didn't go to highschool (home schooling myself) because I don't wanna waste any minute there. I barely do chores and worst part is I'm addicted to that "Toxic" rush it voice. Thanks for help!
ОтветитьThanks man wish I had found this at the start of the year. This is the only video I have been able to identify my current state with. Its crazy how even though you are from a different industry , I am going through the same thing and with this video you have given me hope. Wish you the best man and please keep the videos coming, It looks like I am 4 years behind you so I am sure the next thing I go through will be in the next video lol. RIght behind you.
ОтветитьYour content is superior to anything else online. I wished you were still producing new content.
ОтветитьEXACTLY what I've been feeling for the past couple of months. Especially because of the injustice that happened in my life a couple of months ago. I have decided to reset. Thanks, Thomas. All of us relate so much to you and your videos are fantastic. Very helpful.
ОтветитьI’m always overwhelmed! Thank you
ОтветитьNow I find the right knowledge to me for these days. Thank u for sharing this.
ОтветитьJust listen Debussy. Don't stop on things you gotta do, just have a moment to breath while listening to relaxing classical music.
ОтветитьThank you, it was in fact like you numbered some of the ideas I knew I had to do in order to get better but the key thing I forgot was the fact I have to balance my own "me time" and the work time. Put myself as priority is something I leave aside this year.
ОтветитьThis video is life changing. Thank you!!!
Ответитьkey take-home:
'do a reset sprint: evaluate all systems: file organisation : physical living space and workspace, your task manager'
'get them back to a state where they are actually useful to you.'
Basically just do it
ОтветитьThe example of toxic voice was just tooooo accurate for me. 😢
ОтветитьReset sprint sounds EXTREMELY overwhelming. If I could just do that, I know everything would fall into to place!
ОтветитьI'm in this exact situation. My successes come at the price of extreme stress and adrenaline fueled sprints. Even getting to school on time has become a literal sprint in the morning because my brain is now convinced i can get there in 5 mins and I end up leaving late. Yes I CAN do it, but that doesn't mean I should... This is an analogy for the rest of my life, I've taken on so many projects and also I could get it done in a lot less time, i end up worrying all the time and can't concentrate on what I'm doing.
ОтветитьI think you’re better than what you even know Your very hard on yourself. Enjoy your programs. Thank you.
ОтветитьI need God’s help whenever I get around in a situation I asked for his help and sometimes doing something for somebody really helps also enjoy your programs thank you
ОтветитьPerfect timing thank you!!
ОтветитьMe watching this video and still being overwhelmed by other similar videos and the many comments... It's like an endless loop
ОтветитьSO helpful
ОтветитьI constantly Overwhelmed in everything, this video helps.
ОтветитьThis advise while good advise and well intended just rings kind of hollow. If your life does not yet include health issues, children, home renovations, financial considerations, obsolesce of skills, marriage, or on and on,... do you really know what is overwhelming? This advise is for people overwhelmed by their self-imposed to do list.
ОтветитьSo honest. Love this. Thank you.
ОтветитьThank you, this was a great video.
ОтветитьI appreciate this video as I'm starting from scratch and don't want to get burnt out. I am really into the art of saying no even when it might be money on the table.
ОтветитьThanks but I just can’t listen to your video because the background music is just so distracting and annoying. I think it’s unnecessary. But thank you for your other videos this one just isn’t heating it for me. If
ОтветитьThis was a really nice video to watch :3. I've been overwhelmed a lot lately and through this video I discovered this is in part because I am currently in a process to reset the way I live, but I'm not allowing myself the necessary time to do so. It takes time to (re)build habits, set new systems into place and it takes energy to decide which opportunities I want to take vs. to which ones I will say no to for my own sake. Thank you for this reminder to not give up and some confirmation that I am on the right track.
ОтветитьI’m happy that you said there are things that we can do although they are not productive and they might seem useless to other people, but we shouldn’t listen to that toxic voice. That helps me very much. 👍
Ответить👎
ОтветитьJust what I needed to hear this evening. Thanks for offering your insight and "permission" to start easy. Cheers!
ОтветитьYou need to hire people to take off the stress lol
ОтветитьI needed this...
ОтветитьThank you ❤️😊 this video made me realise my fault which I was doing as my default ✌️✌️ I will take care of myself 😊
ОтветитьLove this, especially about saying no. Probably the most important part of prioritising.
ОтветитьBurnout is not constantly sprinting, it's a dysbalance of control. Burnout is when you feel out of control. There are multiple reasons why losing control can happen. 1. Challenges far away from our competence. 2. Passive Challenges, or lack of autonomy(someone/-thing else tells you what to do) 3... there a los of reasons.
ОтветитьThis is so inspiring thank u ! The bit about success building opportunities really hit because it feels like you’re literally wasting opportunities not to take on awesome things but it has just put me in a constant burnout cycle
ОтветитьThis makes sense, but I never make it past the reset sprint. Things are so backed up in every area of my life that to actually reset things would take me at least a month. Meanwhile work, family, and other responsibilities don't stop coming, and a month is too long to put them all on hold.
Anyone else get stuck on this and overcome it? What worked for you?
This was so helpful!!!
ОтветитьI found this really useful, thank you. Am going to try a re-set
ОтветитьI like this, simple, feasible, practical and achievable. Thanks
ОтветитьAs a man in charge of an organization 450 people strong, I’m constantly in meetings, coordinating and planning. I literally have almost no time to complete my daily tasks, which are VERY critical to my operations and established processes.
I literally work 16 hour days most days and I think it’s killing me.
I feel like I’m drowning and if I stop sprinting, I’ll sink.
Unlike you, I have a boss. And any changes in operations require agreement. That’s where I have not taken action. I’ve been looking to impress when I should have been looking to become healthy. Both as a boss and an individual who needs to survive in this position for the long haul.
This was excellent. You spoke to me in a way other content makers could not. Thank you!
I'll only take 4 to 5 courses next semester ._. Imdying
ОтветитьMy morning routine is taking out the trash.
ОтветитьThis is too accurate
