First person shooters have always been my favorite type of video game. It’s definitely the type of video game I’ve played the most in my life by many miles. 46 now but the 1st doom and wolfenstein games started the love affair for me, especially doom ..

They made a 300 page book ~20 years ago about id software, beginning with childhood stories of carmack and Romero, ending with carmack going over to space rocket projects and romero fooling around with mobile games. The details were so amazing.
