I love how you promote an authentic WWII game but for the skit you wear camo that wasn't developed until the 1990's and have a belt of 7.62x51 ammo which wasn't used until the Vietnam War.

Compared to other atrocities he played this actually looks fun .

I got Legend of Kage in a game swap with a neighbor kid back in 1990. I didn't hate it. But James is right about the soundtrack, though.

This game was based on a classic Japanese Ninja fiction. (伊賀忍法帖）

Kage was a Ninja who turn his back on his master in order to live with his loving wife.
But his wife was killed by a group of evil Ninjas which are lead by a powerful witch. In the journey of his revenge, he find out that the princess kidnapped by those evil Ninjas just looked like his wife.

I just love this story.
There was a movie based on this story. "Ninja wars"

So the legend of Zelda was a ripoff.

Its too bag Legend of Kage didn't get a gameplay makeover like Rygar did. A RPG style makeover with leveling up and equipment upgrades.

Loved this game as a kid. It reminded me of the movie Ninja Wars starring Hiroyuki Sanada. Like the game, the movie didn’t make much sense either but the 5 Devil Monks were cool.

"The legend of kage" is literally the second NES game I ever owned after Super Mario Brothers. Me and my brothers used to sit there for hours playing that game. Kage's legend is embedded in my memory and it holds a special place in my childhood ❤ but I can't lie I agree it is terrible but there's just something so addicting about it 😭

This game was inspired by the Movie.. "Ninja of the Dragon Den"
