ohhhh fuuuuuu crap I wasn't thinking of anything else 😅

I’m a substitute and oh boy is it a thankless job… I’m trying to get out of it… At the same time it’s hard given how emotionally and physically exhausting it is, it’s hard to apply for another job when you’re stuck in such a demanding job… The fact that I’m sometimes jobhunting at work is telling of how thankless a job it is ><
Anyhow, I can somewhat, emphasis on somewhat, sympathize with the guy who seem to hate his job. I know for myself the job market has been terrible post college and substituting was one of the only stable job I was able to get.

also, kids can be absolutely horrible to the sub , I’m not surprised by subs that seemingly don’t do anything and are just trying to make it to the end of the day. But oh my God the fact that Sub didn’t do anything when someone was literally choking is pretty ridiculous.

My substitutes were respected like my regular teacher

Stomach thrusts are one of those things you’re vaguely taught somewhere along the line and part of you thinks “that’s just a thing that works on tv” or something. But it legit works. Saved my mom when she was choking on some steak one time.

When it came out she put it in my hand like it was a reward for saving her life. 😅

Mr. Lemon was strangely progressive in my eyes? He insisted on saying names right, and was VERY anti slavery. Still mean, but at least he has the spirit.

I love how I rewatched this after years, and JUST started watching Lixian, yet somehow STILL automatically recognized his voice.

We had this substitute teacher who would tell you to shut up at the beginning of class and then proceeded to talk the rest of the time to no one in particular. She would completely demolish my concentration. Its okay when many people talk, but when its only one person it's extremely aggravating.

I'm certified, there's actually waaay more to the Heimlich Maneuver, like back slaps. It takes more than several hours to teach the whole thing including CPR and "swiping".

My weirdest high school substitute was this lady who came into my Elective History class when we were learning about the Witch Trials and started talking about witches like they were a real thing, and when we were like "miss, what are you on about?" she said "you wouldn't be learning about it if it weren't real" and went on talking about how to do that abracadabra triangle thing. I was fourteen and baffled.

There is one super mean sub at my school that everyone hates AND I MEAN HATES, she said someone couldn’t go home and couldn’t go to the bathroom and if we have her in math 🧮 oh boy are you in trouble. RULES:no talking, no going to the bathroom, no getting pencils from the teacher if you forget one in your locker. MRS HEASTER IS THE WORSTTTTT

Bro Mr Yettobethrownoutlemon is somewhat close to our most hated teacher. This guy, will always acuse random students of talking, always saying things like ‘You dumb students!!! Your parents have sent you to school to work hard and study what you're doing is blah blah blah’. He actually had slaves in his class and I was one of em. Someone had to rub the board, someone has to keep the table clean, someone had to keep the chair clean whatever. This guy SUCKS. One time when our class almost got him suspended, all the students of our school were like ‘Omg thank you so much’. So yeah, this guy sucks.

I had a substitute bus driver recently that told me to "get your UGLY *ss off the bus" lol

I had a sub once that told us she was an alien from some crazily named planet. She wrote her name in crazy symbols then did all these big equations to try a show us how old she was. I never saw her after that....

My least favorite sub is mr m when we talk or did or something he would take us out the hall
